Abstract: A recirculation block includes a top face and a bottom face that are connected by a right side face, a left side face, a front face, and a rear face. The recirculation block further includes a pair of junction block entry ports and a pair of side block entry ports. Both of the junction block entry ports are positioned on the bottom face. The first side block entry port is positioned on the right side face and the second side block entry port is positioned on the left side face. The recirculation block further includes a pair of exit ports. The first exit port is in fluid communication with both the first junction block entry port and the first side block entry port. The second exit port is in fluid communication with both the second junction block entry port and the second side block entry port.
Abstract: A trim panel (1) and a method of making a trim panel (1) comprising providing a formable sheet (12) having at least one layer, locating the sheet (12) adjacent to a forming surface (80), conforming the sheet (12) to the forming surface (80) so that the sheet (12) has a characterizing topography (15) and removing the sheet (12) from the forming surface (80). A substrate (40) is provided having a rear surface (45) and an opening (55) therethrough. Lastly, the sheet (12) is attached to the rear surface (45) of the substrate (40) so that the characterizing topography (15) extends through the opening (55). Alternatively, the sheet (12) may comprise at least one tab (17) and the substrate (40) may comprise at least one tab opening (57) wherein the tab (17) is inserted into the tab opening (57) to snap-fit the pieces together.

Abstract: A reactive polyurethane mixture is applied by a high pressure airless spray applicator directly onto the primary backing of a moving substrate such as a carpet web. The applied reactive mixture is allowed to foam to an approximate predetermined thickness and density. While the blown or foamed backing layer still possesses substantial residual tackiness, it is compressed or regauged to a precise uniform thickness and simultaneously is provided with either an embossed or a smooth surface. The tack of internal cell walls of the blown backing layer retains the layer at the regauged thickness. Curing of the regauged backing layer by externally applied heat and/or by the heat of the exothermic reaction in the applied mixture is completed. Detackifying agents are applied to the regauging devices and/or to the applied backing layer to prevent adherence of the layer to the regauging devices. A surface skin formed of the detackifying agents is cured on the regauged backing layer.
