Abstract: A limiting device to prevent unwanted removal of paper from a paper or ticket printing and dispensing apparatus for paper roll printers, including paper cutter actuating means, positioned between a ticket dispensing exit and a cutting device to cut paper onto which printing has taken place and for controlling feeding of the paper and for controlling operation of the printer; activation of the cutting device is responsive to either an incompletely printed ticket or an action externally of said apparatus or to completion of any printing onto the ticket; a movable member or curved door is provided to more from a deactivation position to an activation position to control the operation of the paper cutter and the curved door is responsive to completion of a ticket printing operation or an occlusion at the dispensing exit or to a pre-set printing operation.

Abstract: A print control device for a thermal printer for detecting a failure in a component of the thermal printer to prevent an incorrect printing of an item to be printed which provides for a thermal resistor associated with each component of the printer to render the printer inoperative when the component becomes defective, and a MOSFET for each thermal resistor associated with a feeder, a driver and a group detector which prevents the printer from printing when the thermal resistor changes the effective resistance in the circuit with the MOSFET and the group detector and driver.

Abstract: A cutting and closure mechanism for a ticket or voucher dispenser and a method for dispensing a ticket or voucher from a free standing roller printer provided with a shutter to prevent unwanted access to the ticket exit opening to prevent jamming or a backing-up of the printed tickets and comprises a connection to check and on/off card and provided with a shaft 2 connected to an eccentric cam 3 having a pin 4 associated with a combined shutter 6 and a movable blade 7. Counterposed to movable blade 7 is an immovable blade 8 on parallel or staggered or juxtaposed planes, with blades 7, 8 positioned near an exit slot 9 for exiting of the printed ticket and to cut the ticket. The roller printer body 10 then determines an anti-breaking and containment structure for the shutter 6 maintained by a spring 11 juxtaposed to blade 8 so that the blades are maintained adjacent to each other so that the blades can cut the tickets and the shutter closes the exit opening.
