Abstract: A stackable container system is configured to provide stacked receptacles for receiving bulk material therein. The stackable container system includes a first receptacle configured to provide a respective stacked receptacle. The first receptacle includes a receptable bottom, a receptable top, and a receptacle side extending along an upright container axis between the receptacle bottom and top, with the first receptacle presenting a container chamber. The receptacle top is configured to at least partly support another one of the stacked receptacles stacked relative thereto along the upright container axis. • Patent number: 11760562
Abstract: A container includes a receptacle including an upright receptacle side and a receptacle bottom that cooperate to at least partly define a container chamber. The bottom presents a peripheral margin, with the side being attached to the bottom along the peripheral margin and extending upwardly relative to the bottom along an upright container axis. The receptacle further includes a drain configured to permit material flow out of the chamber, with the drain intersecting the bottom to define a drain opening that fluidly communicates with the chamber. The drain opening is spaced inboard from the peripheral margin and is laterally offset from the container axis in an offset direction. The bottom includes first and second floor sections extending inboard from the peripheral margin and joined relative to each other along a first gutter area adjacent the drain opening.

  • Publication number: 20200369466
Abstract: A container is configured to receive bulk material therein and to experience a pressure differential for which an internal container pressure is greater than ambient pressure. The container includes a receptacle and a removable lid. The receptacle defines a chamber to receive material. The receptacle includes a fill neck that defines a receptacle opening in fluid communication with the chamber. The lid covers the receptacle opening in an engaged condition to enclose the chamber. The receptacle includes a receptacle connector with spaced apart connector teeth, and the lid includes a lid connector with spaced apart connector lugs. The receptacle connector and the lid connector cooperatively providing a fractional-turn connection where the connector teeth and lugs are rotatable into and out of engagement with one another in the engaged condition to restrict lid separation from the fill neck associated with the pressure differential.

  • Patent number: 7978067
Abstract: A system for remotely identifying, tracking, and monitoring transported goods includes a sensing and communications device (14) embedded in a shipping container (2). The sensing and communications device (14) includes onboard sensors (58,60,62) and wirelessly communicates with external sensors (24,26) to receive environmental and structural condition data. The device (14) communicates the data via either an RF interface (52,54) or a cellular telephone system interface (48,50) to a remote monitoring station (68). The remote monitoring station (68) analyzes the data, presents the data to a user, and enables the user to program the device (14).

  • Patent number: 7861877
Abstract: A foldable container comprises a box including a floor and sidewalls attached to one another to present a chamber. The box further includes foldable panels that shift from a retracted position within the chamber to an upright extended position. The extended panels serve to expand the chamber for containing a liquid or solid bulk material. The extended panels are interconnected by joints that resist tampering and that are tamper-evident. The container further includes a retaining assembly for securely holding the material in the chamber and a lid for covering the chamber. The lid cooperates with the panels to resist tampering and to be tamper-evident. The container also includes stanchions for selectively stacking at least two containers when the containers are storing the bulk material.

  • Publication number: 20070289631
Abstract: An improved outlet valve assembly (12) is provided which is especially adapted for use with an intermediate bulk container (10) having bottom wall drain outlet (20) and support legs (22). The assembly (12) has serially interconnected valves (28,30), namely an emergency ball valve (28) and a manually operable valve (30), with endmost elbow coupler (26) and outlet (32). Tle assembly (12) is of compact design and is dimensioned to permit attachment to container (10) with the entirety of assembly (12) elevated above the bottom of support legs (22). The emergency ball (28) valve includes as spring-loaded operator (58) equipped with a temperature responsive fusible link (86). In the event of a fire adjacent container (10), the link (86) severs, allowing operator (58) to quickly close valve (28).

  • Patent number: 6616326
Abstract: An improved shaft sealing assembly (18) for use with an elongated, axially rotatable shaft (14) typically forming a part of a blender (10) or similar device is provided, which permits rapid, easy seal repair without the need for complete breakdown of the blender (10). The assembly (18) includes a tubular sleeve adapted to be disposed about the shaft (14) at the region of a shaft/blender wall interface, with an annular sealing body (42) disposed about the sleeve (40) in a sealing position and supporting a seal (66) which engages the sleeve (40) at a first sealing location (66a) thereon. A lock device (48) operably to maintain the sealing body (42) in its sealing position is provided, and the sleeve (40) is selectively movable relative to shaft (14) and sealing body (42) so as to change the sealing location from the first location (66a) to a second, different sealing location (66b). The sleeve 40 can also be easily replaced if desired.
