Abstract: A ticket printer is disclosed including a box-like support configured for selective mounting in a first configuration, in which the box-like support has a first outlet facing a reception area in which a user can receive a ticket exiting from the first outlet, or in a second configuration, in which the box-like support has a second outlet facing the reception area in which a user can receive a ticket which exits from the second outlet and presents the first outlet facing a collection area to which the ticket can be sent if, after a pre-set time, a user has not collected the ticket from the second outlet.

Abstract: A device and a method for making a wireless connection between a paper sensor in a roll holder and a printing device which receives a printing medium from the roll holder, in which a magnet arranged on the roll holder performs, with each turn of the pin of the roll holder, a cyclical movement which includes first a lifting of the magnet, caused by a rotation of the pin by a fraction of a turn, and then a fall by gravity of the magnet which falls near a coil which is energized by the mechanical energy of the magnet for supplying electrical energy to an emitter in wireless communication with a receiver to receive a signal with each revolution of the pin to count the revolutions made by the pin and act as a paper sensor.

Abstract: An apparatus (1) for inspecting an identity document (D) is disclosed, wherein the identity document, which includes an RFID tag and a printed code, is positioned on the apparatus in a reading area (3) where a linear image sensor, which is movable by a motor-driven command, performs a scan to read the code of the document, and in which an RFID device communicates with the RFID tag, authentication of the identity document being performed by comparing the information supplied by the linear image sensor and the information supplied by the RFID device.

Abstract: A printing method and apparatus are disclosed, in which a printed document is separated from a continuous strip of paper by a cutting device having a movable blade that can adopt a rest position, in which the blade is retracted to leave free a passage for inserting the strip in a cutting zone, and at least one cutting position, in which the blade is advanced to obstruct the passage, with sensor means that is able to indicate when the blade is in the two positions.

Abstract: A cutting apparatus is disclosed for separating, intermittently, receipts or tickets from a continuous strip of material, in which the strip is cut by a stationary blade when the user tensions the strip by pulling an end thereof, in which the cut margin of the strip is disengaged from the blade by virtue of an elastically movable element that has a non cutting edge extending in length next to the entire length of a cutting edge of the blade, and in which the strip tensioned during the cut pushes the non cutting edge in a recessing position with respect to the cutting edge and after cutting the non cutting edge returns elastically to a protruding position beyond the cutting edge.

Abstract: A printing apparatus is disclosed that is suitable for controlling a barred access, with a front port for inserting and expelling tickets, sensor means for reading a ticket introduced into the port, an input/output interface and thermal printing means controlled by an electronic processor including a memory that can contain a script including an instruction to activate the printing means in response to an input signal received from the sensor means or via the interface and an instruction to send an output signal via the interface in response to a signal emitted by sensor means. A computerized central system, arranged outside the printing apparatus for controlling the barred access, is associated with the printing apparatus by means of an initial system configurations that is simplified.

Abstract: An apparatus and a printing method for lottery or betting terminals are disclosed, wherein a printed document is separated from a continuous strip of paper and then moved sideways to a document stacking zone according to a direction that is transverse to the document, which, by passing above two lateral protrusions, undergoes the folding of two lateral edges that, after passing over the protrusions, return to a normal position owing to the elasticity of the paper.

Abstract: A printing apparatus is disclosed, in which a printed document is separated from a continuous strip of paper by a blade driven by a reversible motor that has a forward rotation direction, in normal operation, and a backward rotation direction, for blade unlocking in the event of jamming of the blade, in which the backward rotation first has a free initial portion without transmitting force to the blade, then a tooth carried by the motor shaft knocks against another tooth carried by a hub of a gear that transmits force to the blade, unlocking the jam thereof.

A driven dragging roller that makes the strip advance in an intermittent manner is interrupted if a sensor detects that the strip is tensioned to be cut.

Abstract: A thermal printing device with a thermal print head, a platen roller opposite the print head and a protective film that is movable in a closed loop, wherein the thermal print head is arranged inside the closed loop formed by the film, so as to protect the thermal paper from damage caused by mechanical scraping by the print head; a use of the printing device is also disclosed for dispensing a printed ticket in real time, the ticket being at least partly covered by an opaque patina that is removable by scraping after printing to enable what has been printed to be viewed.
