After authenticating, a desktop channel grid framework is displayed on the user platform. The channel grid framework includes multiple channels having respective contents represented as multiple user-selectable items, through which respective portions of the secure user-centric information are presented. At least some of the secure user-centric information in at least one channel is based on the user identity, and in displaying the at least one channel as a selectable item, the at least one channel is authenticated by the identity management server.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing advertising information on a second user viewing device relating to a media program viewed on a first user viewing device. Upon determining that the media program is being presented via the first user viewing device, an ad programming signal is transmitted to the second user viewing device so as to present on the second user viewing device at least one first advertisement relating to content of the media program.

A user profile is established identifying user preferences and one or more platform identities. The user profile is managed to grant the user access to specific ones of the multiple channels. In one example, user(s) and user platform(s) are authenticated to receive respective portions of the secure user-centric information based on user identities and platform identities. If authenticated, channel information relating to one or more of the multiple channels is transmitted to one or more users/user platforms, based on information access rights and/or security protocols respectively associated with the corresponding channels, the user(s), and the user platform(s).

Abstract: A system and method for interacting with multiple information forms across multiple types of computing devices and platforms is provided. A computer-readable storage media for interacting with multiple information forms across computing devices is also provided and includes computer-readable instructions to cause one or more computer processors to execute operations including authenticating a user; establishing a channel grid framework for the user on a first platform, the channel grid framework providing access to a first computer application displayed on a display device as a channel; deploying the channel from the channel grid framework on the first platform to a second platform in response to a user selecting the channel from the channel grid framework on the first platform and performing a copy operation of the channel to the second platform; and establishing a run time application of the first computer application on the second platform.
