Patent number: 11837905Abstract: A battery charger system includes multiple power channels to accommodate multiple battery chargers through a power input port. Each power channel includes a power outlet electrically coupled to the power input port through a relay. Each power channel further includes a current sensor. A controller is configured to estimate current in each of the power channels using the sensor signals, and configured to control the relays. The battery charger system is configured to provide power to the outlets by closing the corresponding relays, until the total current estimate is more than a maximum current limit, at which point the controller is configured to open the most recently closed relay. The controller is further configured to sequentially close remaining relays after the total current drops sufficiently, while maintaining the total current below the maximum current limit.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 2021Date of Patent: December 5, 2023Assignee: CyberSwitchingPatents, LLCInventors: Ron Silorio, Charles Henry Reynolds, Ximing Shi

Patent number: 11760215Abstract: A fueling system can include an electric vehicle (EV) charging station and a non-charging fueling station for fueling vehicles other than EVs. The EV charging station includes a first control unit, a switching unit, and output connections that can be connected to EVs. The non-charging fueling station includes a second control unit and, for example, a liquid fuel pump. An integrated fuel management system is in communication with the EV charging station and the non-charging fueling station. The switching unit can direct a charging current from an input power supply to an output connection in response to commands from the first control unit that are issued according to a charging procedure. The first control unit can send state information for the EV charging station to the integrated fuel management system. The second control unit can send state information for the non-charging fueling station to the integrated fuel management system.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2021Date of Patent: September 19, 2023Assignee: CYBERSWITCHINGPATENTS, LLC.Inventors: Ronald L. Publication number: 20230264591Abstract: An electric vehicle charging master controller includes an instruction processing unit, a user interface module, and a charging interface module. Electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment is external to the controller. The instruction processing unit is configured to execute instructions for charging electric vehicles (EVs). The charging interface module is configured to receive information from the instruction processing unit and transmit information to the EV charging equipment. The instruction processing unit is configured to transmit information to the charging interface module, which is designed to cause the EV charging equipment to direct charging current to the plurality of EVs, one at a time. The instruction processing unit is also configured to transmit information to the charging interface module designed to cause the EV charging equipment to stop the charging current to each EV when a charging cessation criterion has been met.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 21, 2022Publication date: August 24, 2023Applicant: CyberSwitchingPatents, LLCInventors: Ron Silorio, Charles Henry Reynolds

Patent number: 11590851Abstract: An electric vehicle (EV) charging system includes a number of output connections (e.g., cables). Each of the output connections is connected to at least one head, and each head can be connected concurrently to an EV. A controller can direct a charging current, delivered over a dedicated circuit from an electric power supply, to a first one of the output connections if a first EV is connected to a head connected to the first one of the output connections. Then, the charging current to the first one of the output connections can be stopped, switched to a second one of the output connections, and restarted if a second EV is connected to a head connected to the second one of the output connections.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2020Date of Patent: February 28, 2023Assignee: CyberSwitchingPatents, LLC.Inventors: Charles H. Patent number: 11180034Abstract: A first controller can be coupled to a main power supply and deliver a first charging current to an electric vehicle (EV) at a first charging station. The first controller can also deliver power to a second controller that can provide a second charging current to an EV at a second charging station. The first controller turns off the power to the second controller in response to determining that there is an EV charging at the first charging station, and turns on the power to the second controller only in response to determining that an EV is not charging at the first charging station.Type: GrantFiled: October 27, 2017Date of Patent: November 23, 2021Assignee: CyberSwitchingPatents, LLCInventors: Charles H. Patent number: 10843581Abstract: A method of charging one or more electric vehicles (EVs) includes receiving a voltage over a dedicated circuit from an electric power supply. A charging current is generated using the voltage and directed to a first output connection if a first EV is connected to a head that is connected to the first output connection. The charging current to the first one of the output connections is stopped, then directed to a second output connection if a second EV is connected to a head coupled to the second output connection.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2016Date of Patent: November 24, 2020Assignee: CyberSwitchingPatents, LLCInventors: Charles H.
