Abstract: Automatic pipettor with a single-row, multi-channel pipetting head, with tip ejector mechanism by which the pipette tips attached to pipettes arranged in a row are successively removed and which, by means of the movable construction of a lifter arranged below the pipetting head and carrying, e.g., a microtitration plate, can be used in an all-purpose manner for different microtitration plates in the direction of the pipettes and the movability of the pipetting head in a direction orthogonal thereto.

Abstract: An airbag cover is defined by a predetermined breaking line which is introduced into a shaped flat material in a recessed manner. The recesses are achieved by removing material by means of laser radiation. According to the invention, the flat material is provided with a barrier layer. The barrier layer, by reason of its material properties, has greater resistance to removal of material by laser action than the material of the rest of the flat material. The recesses made by removing material extend along the predetermined breaking line in the flat material up to the barrier layer. The barrier layer makes it possible to produce a predetermined breaking line by means of laser machining which allows an exact residual wall thickness of the airbag cover in the area of the predetermined breaking line, so that the tearing strength can be adjusted very accurately, which is critically important for a reliable deployment of an airbag.

Abstract: An automatic tip changer for an automatic multichannel pipettor comprises a plurality of pipettes arranged in a pipetting head. Each of the pipettes arranged in the pipetting head is directly connected to a tip. A magazine which is outfitted with tips and lying in a magazine frame is pressed against the pipetting head. A supply carousel is provided for storing a plurality of stacking boxes in which magazines outfitted with tips are deposited. A lifting group which is arranged in a stationary manner relative to the supply carousel and the magazines are positioned successively in a mounting plane which is determined by the position of the magazine frame. A sliding group is included which is arranged in a stationary manner relative to the lifting group and by which the magazines are displaceable back and forth successively between the stacking box and the magazine frame.

Abstract: A positioning aid for liquid handling devices with a horizontally movable holding device for adapter and microtitration plate is disclosed. The holding device has a flexible tube extending in a closed channel and compressed air can be applied to the tube. The channel has, at least in the area of sliding pins which are arranged so as to be pretensioned by springs, widened portions which widen in the opposite direction to that of the spring, so that the sliding pins remain in a rest position when the tube is in the pressureless state so as to enable manipulation of the adapter and microtitration plate without friction, but, when compressed air is applied, occupy a clamping position in such a way that the tube fills out the widened portions so that the sliding pins contact the microtitration plate without play and the microtitration plate, in turn, contacts the stops of the adapter which are located across from the sliding pins, and the adapter contacts the fixed stops of the holding device without play.

Abstract: A rinsing tray system for pipette tips or transfer needles, arranged in the form of a matrix and having a bottom tray and a top tray, protrusions which have through-apertures arranged perpendicular to the base of the top tray and at the same grid spacing from one another as the pipette tips or transfer needles, projecting into the interior of the top tray, wherein the bottom tray having at least one inlet in order to be continuously filled with rinsing liquid and at least one outlet being present on the top tray.

Abstract: A device for filling and suction of filter plates in a microtitration plate format which is comprised of a simultaneously working multipipette, two stacking elements, a plate transfer car with a suction station, four lifting drives, and an electric plate holder. The plates emanating from the dispensing stacking elements are filled by the pipettes or the pipette automatic machine and can be deposited on the suction station afterwards with the aid of the plate holder and the lifter. The plates are then lifted together with the weight such that the plate is sufficiently pressed hard on the seal in the suction station. As a result, a corresponding low pressure can be generated in the vacuum station.

Abstract: An arrangement for transporting microtitration plates in an automatic handling machine is disclosed comprising at least one linear-transport device on which a carriage, which has at least one place of deposit for a microtitration plate, is transported in a straight line, under automatic control, between two limit positions. A lifting device is included with vertically displaceable bolts by which the microtitration plates can be lifted off or deposited on the carriage. At least one rotary device is also included in which a rotary element which has at least one resting place for a microtitration plate can be moved, under automatic control, about a fixed rotation shaft.
