Abstract: A method and system for tracking and providing compensation to distributors of a product by using a unique identification code to identify the product at the point of sale, the original customer, and/or the original distributor. A product and/or advertising materials for the product, bearing a unique product code, are provided to distributors. The customer provides the unique product code at the point of purchase of one or more products. The distributor, who promoted the sale of the products, is identified based on the unique product code. Compensation is provided to the distributor based on the number of products sold. The customer may be offered a discount based on the unique product code at the point of purchase.
