Abstract: The invention is a jump starting system for conducting a charging operation with various combinations of two automotive batteries in which one or both batteries is either a conventional battery, a battery with embossed electrical contact sockets, or a battery with internal electrical contact slots, where electrical connection between batteries is established by means of a battery jumper plug cable having four electrical jumper plugs electrically attached to respective ends of a positive insulated conductor and a negative insulated conductor.
Abstract: An automotive battery includes positive and negative battery contact sockets on the battery surface, each battery contact socket having a socket shell slot in a socket shell such that a polarized electrical connector prong inserted into a designated socket shell slot makes electrical contact with the corresponding battery terminal.
Abstract: An automotive booster cable system includes a first battery clamp attached to a first battery a second battery clamp attached to a second battery; an optional electrical plug adapter with an adapter electrical connector for mating with the second battery clamp; and a booster cable assembly having a first polarized electrical booster connector for mating with the first battery clamp and a second polarized electrical booster connector for mating with either the electrical plug adapter or the second battery clamp.
Abstract: An automotive battery clamp that attaches to the terminals of a battery includes: a clamp housing; two terminal contacts extending from the clamp housing and in contact with the battery terminals; either electrical contact pads secured in two electrical contact openings in a surface of the clamp housing or electrical prongs secured in the clamp housing; two conductive lines inside the clamp housing, each conductive line electrically connecting a terminal contact with either an electrical contact pad or an electrical prong; whereby a source of charging current can be applied to the automotive battery terminals via either the electrical contact openings or the electrical prongs.
Abstract: The invention is a method of conducting a secure monetary transaction with a funded secure tender electronic card by: (i) pre-selecting a monetary amount as a card usage parameter for the secure tender electronic card, the monetary amount having a value of from zero cents to ninety nine cents, (ii) storing the card usage parameter in an electronic card server, and (iii) validating, via the electronic card server, a pending monetary transaction using the electronic card only when the transaction cents amount is equal to the stored card usage parameter.
