Abstract: A process for absorbing ethylene comprising preparing a support material impregnated with an aqueous sodium permanganate solution, wherein the ethylene absorption agent is prepared by a process of selecting a support material, preparing a sodium permanganate solution, and impregnating the carrier material with the sodium permanganate solution.
