Publication number: 20260202922Abstract: An imaged 3D volume is accessed, and indications of locations of a group of registration markers within the imaged 3D volume are received. The imaged 3D volume is processed using the group of registration markers. Processing may comprise automatically reorienting the imaged 3D volume based on the group of registration markers.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 7, 2025Publication date: July 16, 2026Applicant: D3D Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Kathleen M Douglas, Robert E. Douglas, David Byron Douglas

Patent number: 12380628Abstract: Pointers are added to a 3D volumetric dataset to help the user visualize the direction of blood flow. A 3D volume containing at least one blood vessel is created. Next, the direction of the blood flow is determined. Next, at least pointer is placed into the 3D volume in an aligned fashion with the direction of blood flow such that the 3D volume is modified. Next, the modified 3D volume is displayed on a head display unit, such as an augmented reality or virtual reality display. Next, at least one pointer is advanced to a new position for additional modification of the 3D imaging volume.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 2022Date of Patent: August 5, 2025Assignee: D3D Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Robert Edwin Douglas, David Byron Douglas

Patent number: 12333087Abstract: An interactive 3D cursor facilitates selection and manipulation of a three-dimensional volume from a three-dimensional image. The selected volume image may be transparency-adjusted and filtered to remove selected tissues from view. Qualitative and quantitative analysis of tissues in a selected volume may be performed. Location indicators, annotations, and registration markers may be overlaid on selected volume images.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2022Date of Patent: June 17, 2025Assignee: D3D Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Kathleen M. Douglas, Robert E. Douglas, David Byron Douglas

Patent number: 11036311Abstract: Systems and a method for improved 3D visualization on a head display unit are presented herein. Exemplary features include filtering of the volume of interest and viewing the filtered volume of interest via a head display unit with a left eye display and a right eye display. Additional options include zooming and rotating. These features at least improve display of the 3D images to a user.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2020Date of Patent: June 15, 2021Assignee: D3D Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Kathleen M. Douglas, Robert E. Douglas, David Byron Douglas
