Abstract: The present disclosure relates to computing blood pressure from images of the outer eye of an individual. Images of the outer eye of an individual obtained via a high magnification camera can be analyzed using computer vision to identify features associated with blood vessels in the outer eye, such as blood vessel size or diameter, blood vessel wall thickness, distance between vessels or vessel segments, area between vessels or vessel segments, and/or blood velocity through the vessels. These blood vessel features derived from images may be used to compute a blood pressure measure(s) for an individual through use of an artificial intelligence algorithm which relates the blood vessel features to blood pressure values.
Abstract: A system and a method for processing an image so as to perform instance segmentation. The system/method includes: a—inputting (S1) the image (IMG) to a first neural network configured to output an affinity graph (AF), and b—inputting (S2), to a second neural network, the affinity graph and a predefined seed-map (SM), so as to determine whether other pixels belong to a same instance, and set at a first value the value of the other pixels determined as belonging to the same instance.

Abstract: A second media rendering device in a network is synchronized with a first media rendering device in the network. At a first time s1, the second media rendering device sends a request for a current audio sample index from the first media rendering device. The first media rendering device receives the request for the current audio sample index from the second media rendering device. The first media rendering device sends a message including a first current audio sample index equal to a value for a first media rendering device internal sample index. At a second time s2 the second media rendering device receives the first current sample index value from the first media rendering device. The second media rendering device determines a transmission latency, and estimates an updated first media rendering device internal sample index value.
Abstract: Memory devices such as phase change memory (PCM) devices utilizing Ovonic Threshold Switching (OTS) selectors may be used to fill the gap between dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) and mass storage and may be incorporated in high-end microcontrollers. Since the programming efficiency and reading phase efficiency of such devices is directly linked to the leakage current of the OTS selector as well as sneak-path management, a sense amplifier disclosed herein generates an auto-reference that takes into account the leakage currents of unselected cells and includes a regulation loop to compensate for voltage drop due to read current sensing. This auto-referenced sense amplifier, built utilizing the principle of charge-sharing, may be designed on a 28 nm fully depleted silicon-on-insulator (FDSOI) technology, provides robust performance for a wide range of sneak-path currents and consequently for a large range of memory array sizes, and is therefore suitable for use in embedded memory in high-end microcontroller.
