  • Patent number: 4420774
Abstract: A method and apparatus for recording a data signal and for playing it back at a variable speed ratio including a recording unit, a playback unit and a speed control unit. A modulated carrier wave is first recorded and subsequently played back at a different speed from the recorded speed. A recording speed control signal controls the recording speed through the speed control unit, and a part of the speed control signal is recorded simultaneously with a data signal from a miniature test model on a record medium, such as a magnetic tape, by a write unit, such as a recording head, after being operated on by the data signal. The playback speed is controlled by a playback speed control signal at a variable speed ratio, so that it is possible to achieve any speed ratio, such as .sqroot.10, etc., between the recording speed and the playback speed.

  • Patent number: 4342088
Abstract: A multifarious boring device includes a work table and a head with a variety of machine tools or cutters. The work table and the head are controlled by a computer through a shifting device and a power device. The computer computes distances and directions between the cutters and working points on a workpiece on the work table. Thereby, the shifting means controlled by the computer shifts the work table having the worked material thereon. The power device controlled by the computer powers one of the cutters. Codes of the type of holes and working points are fed into the computer. Thereby, a desired hole can be made at a desired point on the workpiece, and different patterns can be made in different types of workpieces.

  • Patent number: 4338641
Abstract: The magnetic tape device includes a supply reel which has a wound tape therein. The device further includes a pair of pulleys. The axis of the first pulley is, at the same level, in parallel to the axis of said supply reel. The axis of the second pulley is not inclined to a rightangle to the direction of the tape length but is at a twisted position against the position which is in parallel to the axis of the first pulley. Therefore, the tape is twisted when it travels "between" said pulleys. The device also includes a take-up reel, the axis of which is, at the same level, in parallel to the axis of said second pulley. The supply reel and the take-up reel are not supported with one common double shaft but are supported with their own strong shaft at their own places. The device, of course, has other means which ordinary magnetic tape devices have.
