  • Patent number: 7469622
Abstract: A paper cutting machine is provided for cutting a plurality of sheets of paper stacked one upon another on a table, including a paper support (2) that moves down from above along longitudinal beams (19, 19) and a cutter (3) that moves up from below in an oblique direction. The paper support (2) has a rest (18) for receiving a cutting edge of the cutter. The rest (18) is moved in a predetermined pitch whenever the number of strokes of the cutter (3) reaches a predetermined number. Accordingly, even when the cutting edge of the cutter cuts into the rest and becomes deteriorated, the cutter need not be exchanged immediately, the life of the rest can be lengthened and the number of sheets cut before exchange is necessary can be drastically improved.

  • Patent number: 7458505
Abstract: A punching unit is arranged so that a plurality of punches is grouped into a first group having a predetermined number of punches and a second group containing any one of the punches in the first group and having a smaller number of punches. A punching state of the predetermined number of punches is produced by reciprocating a reciprocating member within a first range and by vertically moving the punches of the first group through the intermediary of cams and followers corresponding to the first group and another punching state of the smaller number of punches is reached by reciprocating the reciprocating member within a second movable range and vertically moving the punches of the second group through the intermediary of cams and followers corresponding to the second group. This arrangement allows the number of punches and dies to be reduced as compared to the prior art.

  • Patent number: 6340210
Abstract: A wheel for a vehicle comprises first and second wheel halves joined together, and a center plate being generally cross-shaped. Each wheel half has a disk portion and a rim continuing from the disk portion. The center plate is inter-posed between the disk portions and has a diameter smaller than an outside diameter of each of the disk portions. The first and second wheel halves and the center plate are unitarily connected together by means of a plurality of sockets each having a countersunk head and a cylindrical shank. This arrangement increases freedom of design of the wheel and facilitates production of the same.

  • Patent number: 5476155
Abstract: A stairway lift is provided on the treads of a stairway along a sidewall. A guide of the lift is provided on the treads along the sidewall so that a space is formed between the sidewall and the guide. The guide has a first side that faces the sidewall, a first rail provided on the first side, a chain rack on the first side that extends along the sidewall and a second side that faces away from the sidewall. A mobile body is supported by the first rail in the space formed between the sidewall and the guide. The mobile body has a drive sprocket engageable with the chain rack and an electric motor coupled with the drive sprocket for rotatively driving the drive sprocket. A carrier is provided for carrying a person or object to be moved along the stairway. A coupling arrangement couples the mobile body and the carrier so that the carrier is removably supported by the mobile body on the second side of the guide and guided for travel by the guide.

  • Patent number: 5226857
Abstract: A right outer link plate of a bicycle chain, when viewed from the rear and top, has a projection swelling outwardly on a center edge thereof to lead a tooth of a sprocket into an outwardly spread recess formed by the projection. A left outer link plate of the bicycle chain, when viewed from the rear end top, has a flat face outside and an outwardly tapered face along a central inside portion to lead a tooth of the sprocket into a recess formed by the tapered face. In a front multi - stage sprocket, unit the projection of the right outer plate catches onto a tooth of the large sprocket and the tooth slips into the outwardly spread recess formed by the projection, assuring that the chain shifts from the small sprocket to the large sprocket easily. Although the center edge on the right outer link plate swells outwardly, the front multi - stage sprocket unit has a comparatively wide space between sprockets, and the projection does not interfere with the large sprocket and disturb speed changes.

  • Patent number: 5224904
Abstract: A chain joint for a power transmission chain comprises a joint pin and a projecting bush having brims swelling outwardly both its ends with at least one a slit extending longitudinally through the bush. The projecting bush is inserted into a pin hole and a bush hole of the chain, and the joint pin is pressed in an inner hole of the projecting bush. Then, the projecting bush is spread outwardly due to the slit and fits in the pin hole perfectly. Furthermore, the brims engage with the outer link plates on their outsides to prevent the projecting bush from coming off.

  • Patent number: 4915676
Abstract: Disclosed is a power transmission chain formed of a series of articulated units, each including a number of interleaved links each having a pair of pin-receiving holes at predetermined intervals and pivotally connected to the links of adjacent units by pins loosely fitted in the pin-receiving holes. The links are engageable with sprocket teeth for power transmission and the links are formed in an assymetrical shape in the direction of the pitch line and relative to a center line through a median point between the pin-receiving holes by bulging of one of the inner flanks defining a crotch portion of the link toward the other flank, part of the links being connected in a reverse direction to provide a different mechanism from others in meshing engagement with sprocket teeth.

  • Patent number: 4666421
Abstract: A drive chain belt is fitted around a V-type pulley with a pair of inclined walls movable toward and away from each other. The chain belt comprises an endless chain which is formed by pivotally connecting a plural number of rows of link members by pins. An inner extension is provided on an appropriate number or each of the link members projecting radially inward of the pulley when the chain is fitted thereon. An opening is formed in each one of the inner extension so as to fit V-blocks in the openings. Each V-block has an inclined end face adapted to be brought into engagement with the inclined walls of the V-pulley to increase the contact area to the inclined walls of the pulley. Interference portions are a provided on opposing end faces of the link members in at least one row thereof to prevent outward deflection of the chain belt beyond a predetermined angle.
