  • Patent number: 7622418
Abstract: To provide a method for industrially efficiently producing an exhaust gas purifying catalyst containing a perovskite-type composite oxide which is stable and has a less reduced specific surface area and is also effectively prevented from decreasing in its catalytic performance even in endurance in high temperature oxidative reducing atmospheres, a pre-crystallization composition containing elementary components constituting a perovskite-type composite oxide containing a noble metal is prepared, is mixed with a powder of theta-alumina and/or alpha-alumina to prepare a mixture, and the mixture is heat treated. Thus, the resulting perovskite-type composite oxide supported by the powder of theta-alumina and/or alpha-alumina can keep its thermostability at a sufficient level thereby to effectively prevent the catalytic performance from decreasing. This method can industrially efficiently produce the exhaust gas purifying catalyst.

  • Patent number: 4715540
Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle is disclosed, which comprises a nozzle body provided with an injection hole. A nozzle needle is slidably fitted into the nozzle body, to open or close the injection hole of the nozzle body. The nozzle needle is provided with a needle pin which is insertable into the injection hole. The needle pin involves a taper section which is progressively slenderized toward the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. A plurality of axially extending flattened surface portions are formed on the outer peripheral wall of the taper section of the needle pin. As a result, the annular gap region defined between the outer peripheral wall of the needle pin and the inner peripheral wall of the injection hole entails wider and narrower gap sections.

  • Patent number: 4644919
Abstract: A warming-up system of an engine for an automobile according to the present invention is provided with main and auxiliary nozzles in an air intake passage of a carburetor. The auxiliary nozzle is connected to an electromagnetically-operated fuel resupply pump. The warming-up system is further provided with a position detector for determining whether or not a throttle valve is in an open position, a rotation detector for detecting the rotational frequency of the engine, and a control circuit for controlling the drive of the pump in accordance with signals from the detectors. Based on the rotational frequency of the engine detected by the rotation detector, the control circuit determines whether the engine is in a cranking state or in a complete detonation state. When the engine is in the complete detonation state, the control circuit drives the pump to supply a predetermined quantity of auxiliary fuel to the intake passage through the auxiliary nozzle.

  • Patent number: 4445182
Abstract: A method of control of NC machine tools of the type wherein all control data necessary for preparing machining data is inputted into a control device by key switches provided on an operating board. The data necessary for machining a workpiece stored in a microcomputer contained in the NC machine is reduced to the lowest minimum, while various data, such as the paths of movement of tools during rough machining, rough finish machining and finish machining, actually needed for machining the workpiece are successively computed on the basis of the data stored in said microcomputer in advance. Thus, data associated with a variety of workpieces can be processed with a minimum of memory capacity, and complicated shapes having concaves and convexes can accurately be machined in a simple operation.
