Abstract: An inking and doctoring arrangement for a pad printing press includes a unidirectionally rotatable replaceable flat printing plate, a doctor blade arranged above the printing plate and displaceable relative thereto for scraping ink from the upper surface of the printing plate, and an ink tray for fixedly receiving the printing plate.A tray cover is rotatably supported on the ink tray above the printing plate for preventing evaporation of the ink thinner. An ink guide is fixedly secured to the tray cover for joint rotation therewith for spreading ink scrapped by the doctor blade over the upper surface of the printing plate while kneading the same.
