Abstract: In a system for feeding fluid into an exhaust gas after-treatment system, during operation fluid is fed via a feed line of the dispensing unit from a main container and is partially returned via a return line to the main container. A diaphragm pressure container is provided on the feed line downstream of a pump and a non-return valve toward the dispensing unit. During operation of the pump, the diaphragm pressure container is filled with fluid. The diaphragm pressure container is emptied as soon as the pump stops operating. In this way, the dispensing unit is cooled even after the operation of the system has ended, thereby protecting electronic components of the same from overheating.

Abstract: A motor vehicle with an occupant restraint device, including a control device which produces a triggering signal when a predefined hazard signal is generated as a function of signals of a safety sensor system, and, accordingly, the occupant restraint vehicle acts on a vehicle occupant by at least one impact cushion. The control device generates the hazard signal at least as a function of vehicle acceleration signals and a belt state signal representing the activation or deactivation of a seat belt, deactivating the occupant restraint device at least for a certain period of time and/or activating the occupant restraint device at reduced power if the seat belt is identified as having been deactivated and vehicle acceleration signals are assigned to a critical forward displacement of the occupant if the seat belt is deactivated.

Abstract: A power device for use in a vehicle includes a housing, a voltage converter, and a charge-storing device. The housing carries the voltage converter and the charge-storing device. The voltage converter includes a circuit that converts a power signal having a first voltage level to a second voltage level. The charge-storing device electrically couples with the voltage converter and stores the power signal having the second voltage level.
Abstract: A hardtop folding roof for an open motor vehicle includes an upper roof part and a rear roof part having a rear window. The roof parts can be transferred from a closed position into a storage position via respective lateral link mechanisms. Each link mechanism includes two main links. A first main link is assigned to an associated roof pillar of the rear roof part, and a second main link is coupled at least indirectly to the upper roof part at a distance in front of the associated first main link. A rear window holder of the rear window can be moved relative to the roof pillars during the transfer of the folding roof, and the second main links of each link mechanism are assigned to the rear window holder of the rear window.
Abstract: A method for operating an exhaust emission control system of a motor vehicle internal combustion engine, in the exhaust gas line of which an oxidation-catalytically active exhaust emission control component is arranged upstream of a SCR-catalyst is provided. An ageing state of the oxidation-catalytically active exhaust emission control component is determined by correlating a hydrocarbon fraction present in the exhaust emission upstream of the oxidation-catalytically active exhaust emission component with a simultaneous nitrogen oxide conversion of the SCR-catalyst.
Abstract: A water insoluble additive for improving the performance of an ion-exchange membrane, such as in the context of the high temperature operation of electrochemical fuel cells. The insoluble additive comprises a metal oxide cross-linked matrix having proton conducting groups covalently attached to the matrix through linkers. In one embodiment, the metal is silicon and the cross-linked matrix is a siloxane cross-linked matrix containing silicon atoms cross-linked by multiple disiloxy bonds and having proton conducting groups covalently attached to the silicon atoms through alkanediyl linkers.

Abstract: In a method and in a device for detecting when the driver of a motor vehicle becomes tired, the tiredness is determined as a function of a detected steering inactivity phase and a subsequent steering action. In this context, the steering inactivity phase is logically combined with the steering action, and the logic combination is stored at various times. The logic combination is stored with an assigned weighting factor, and the weighting factor is determined as a function of a classification of a steering situation.

Abstract: The invention relates to a brake disc having a brake disc pot (42) and a friction ring (10) which is positively connected to the brake disc pot via toothing (50). The friction ring (10) comprises two friction ring halves (12, 14), wherein the toothing extends across only one of the friction ring halves. In this manner it is possible to mount through-passages (30) axially adjacent to the toothing running around the friction ring half on the interior circumference of the friction ring, said passages connecting the interior circumference of the friction ring to an interior ventilation arrangement of the friction ring. In this manner both a good force transmission and a stable positive connection is ensured between the friction ring and the brake disc pot, as is an efficient cooling by means of an interior ventilation of the friction ring.

The invention also relates to an exposure chamber (10) for hardening motor vehicle bodies coated with UV-paints by means of UV-lamps. According to the invention, at least one reflector (20) is arranged in an inner chamber (18) of the exposure chamber (10). Said type of reflector (20) is preferably spherical or alternatively can be pivoted about three spatial axes in a cardanic manner such that, owing to this reflector (20), shadow zones of the vehicle body which are normally exposed inadequately can be uniformly illuminated. The invention further relates to a hardening system (42, 42?) for motor vehicle bodies which comprises said type of exposure chamber.
