  • Patent number: 4249489
Abstract: A multi-cylinder internal combustion engine with a valve shutoff. A mechanical device in which is integrated a valve clearance compensation arrangement, is interposed between an end of the valve stem and the valve actuating arrangement. A mechanical device includes a cup tappet and serves respectively arbitarily in one case as a rigid connecting member between the end of the valve stem and the valve actuating arrangement and, in the other case, during a closed position of the valve, eliminates the connection between the end of the valve stem and the valve actuating arrangement.

  • Patent number: 4249780
Abstract: A pressure medium brake system for vehicles with an electromagnetic control valve for forming a brake control pressure that increases with an increase of the energization of the coil of the electromagnetic control valve. The control valve produces a pilot control pressure which decreases with an increase of an energizing current while a modulating converter, which supplies an adjusting force that is dependent on the difference between the pilot control pressure and an essentially constant comparison pressure and that increases with an increase of the energizing current, adjusts by means of its adjusting member the brake control pressure.

  • Patent number: 4248480
Abstract: A locking rail supported on a fixed vehicle part for a lever pivotally connected to a seat frame of a longitudinally and vertically adjustable automobile seat. The lever receives one end of a safety belt system with a lower free end of the lever lockingly engaging the locking rail when a predetermined tensile stress on the belt strap is exceeded. The locking rail is rigidly attached to parts fixed to the vehicle such as, for example, the seat underframe and the vehicle floor. The lever is connected to the seat frame by way of a fishplate which is mounted on both sides in an articulated fashion.

  • Patent number: 4247128
Abstract: A bellows connection adapted to be disposed between a front and rear section of an articulated vehicle. The bellows connection includes a first and second bellows part with at least one of the bellows parts being mounted on an end frame of one of the sections of the articulated vehicle. Both of the bellows parts are connected to each other by a portal-like bellows yoke which is saddled-mounted to the front section in a ball joint at the bottom so that it is omnidirectionally pivotable. A lemniscate control arrangement is provided for guiding the bellows yoke along a bisecting line of a bending angle between the front and rear sections of the vehicle. To provide for additional guidance and support of the bellows yoke two struts are provided in a roof area of the vehicle in a vicinity of the central longitudinal axis thereof. The struts are articulated to the front or rear sections of the vehicle and to the bellows yoke.
