Abstract: An exhaust gas return installation for auto-ignition internal combustion engines for the admixture of a part of the exhaust gases to the sucked-in air, in which a spring-loaded baffle disk acted upon by the suction air stream together with a valve acted upon by the exhaust counter-pressure control the exhaust gas admixture according to the output and the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine.
Abstract: A method for operating a gas turbine installation and an apparatus for carrying out the method, particularly for a vehicle gas turbine installation, in which the air is compressed and heated up by utilizing the exhaust gas heat of the gas turbine installation, fuel is combusted under supply of compressed air with an excess of air, the resulting gas is thinned out and cooled off by admixture of compressed heated air, and the produced gas is then permitted to expand for producing an output; a more or less large quantity of non-preheated air is thereby admixed to the preheated primary air prior to the entry into the combustion zone at least within the lower partial load range, preferably as a function of load, in order to control the temperature in the combustion space.

Abstract: An atomization system for internal combustion engines for atomizing fuel in an air stream, which includes an atomization space separate from the combustion or working space of the internal combustion engine and traversed at least in part by the combustion air; the electrically conductive fuel supply includes a large number of small capillary tubes projecting into the atomization space from the mounting support thereof while a counter-electrode is provided with a large surface facing the discharge openings of the capillary tubes; additionally, means are provided for guiding the air in such a direction and at such a velocity that the forces exerted on the atomized and electrically charged fuel droplets by the flowing air predominate the electrostatic attracting forces exerted on the droplets by the counter-electrode and thus keep the droplets from the counter-electrode.
Abstract: A vibration damper with a hydraulic damping mechanism for vehicle spring systems, in which damping valves operating by throttling the pressure medium displaced out of one working space into the other working space are interconnected between two working spaces of the hydraulic pressure medium; the two working spaces are short circuited by a by-pass connection by-passing the damping valves whereby a by-pass valve is also interconnected into the by-pass connection which operates as a function of oscillation velocity and whose valve adjusting member adjusts the by-pass connection to a narrower cross section with rising oscillation velocities.
Abstract: A pneumatic adjusting mechanism, especially for application in motor vehicles, which consists of a suction-air servo-motor that includes a working cylinder with a diaphragm piston whose piston rod is stressed by a spring against the action of the suction-air; to provide an adjustment to different adjusting path steps, individual control lines are connected to the working cylinder in places which correspond to the adjusting path steps; all control lines lead to a control switch connected with a suction-air reservoir line while each individual control line is adapted to be selectively connected with this suction-air reservoir line, after previous venting of all control lines, by means of the control switch.
Abstract: A multi-layer sound- and vibration-absorbing covering for vehicle body parts which consists of a layer of a springy porous material fixed to the body which is covered off by an adherent heavy coating; the porous layer receives a viscous damping mass which wets at least the walls of the pores of the porous material.
Abstract: A film-evaporating combustion chamber with an evaporator pipe whose inner wall surfaces are wetted with a fuel film from a fuel supply installation, and in which the evaporating fuel is seized by a swirling combustion air flow sweeping along the inner diameter of the evaporator pipe so as to mix the film with the combustion air; the fuel supply installation is thereby equipped with at least one feedline which extends from the inside toward the inner wall of the evaporator pipe and whose discharge opening is located substantially in front of the inner wall.
Abstract: Apparatus for the conveyance and atomization of a liquid including at least one nozzle directed toward an atomizing chamber, a pressure source or reservoir providing a conveying pressure for the liquid, a fluid-dynamic connection connecting the nozzle and the pressure source or reservoir, and an electrode disposed a predetermined distance in front of the nozzle. At least a portion of the nozzle is formed of an electrically conductive material and is electrically insulated at least with respect to the electrode. A difference in potential is applied between the electrically conductive portion of the nozzle and the electrode during an atomizing period, whereby liquid discharged from the nozzle is atomized.
Abstract: A head support for seat backrests, especially of motor vehicle seats, which is adapted to be displaced from a rest or non-use position impairing as little as possible the visibility, for instance, of the driver toward the side of the vehicle or toward the rear of the vehicle, into an effective position; the movement of the head support thereby takes place automatically in dependence on the load on and removal of the load from the seat.
Abstract: A shock absorber constructed as elastomer hollow spring which is arranged between a vehicle bumper and a fixed vehicle part, and which is supported under prestress at these parts; the shock absorber includes at its end near the vehicle a socket having an inner area abutting at the shock absorber and an outer area abutting at the inner sides of sections of the bumper which are directed inwardly of the vehicle; each outer area thereby includes friction structures supported under prestress at the inner sides of the bumper sections.

Abstract: A shell-shaped children's seat for motor vehicles which is equipped with a headrest terminating in a backrest and with an impact member extending over the width of the shell and resting on the associated shell edge portions within the area of the seating surface; the impact member thereby extends rearwardly up to the transitional area of the backrest and the headrest, is pivotally connected thereat and can be tilted up visor-like after the disengagement of a locking device to facilitate ingress and egress of the seat.
Abstract: A pressure medium servo-motor, especially for servo-steering systems, in which a working piston operating in a working cylinder is provided with a piston pressure surface actuatable by the pressure in one working pressure chamber of the working cylinder for producing a servo-force directed in the sense of the relative movement of the working piston with respect to the working cylinder; the piston pressure surface of the working piston is thereby reduced with respect to the reference value fulfilling the equilibrium condition of the piston pressure forces in the neutral position of the working piston, by a reducing piston which includes a pressure disengaging surface actuatable by the pressure in the working pressure chamber and a relief pressure surface actuatable by the pressure in a relief pressure chamber.
