Abstract: A method of operating a motor vehicle media playback device that plays media data files stored on a media memory connected to the media playback device. The media playback device reads data file names or sizes of the data files stored on the media memory, determines media data test values, looks these up in a media data test value storage area of the media playback device and, if one or several media data test values are not found, selects metadata about the media data file, from these generates a dataset and stores it a second storage area, the media data test value being stored in the media data test value storage area and linked with the dataset. If a test value is found, the pertinent dataset is selected from the second storage area and used to produce the selection list shown to a user.

Abstract: In a method and apparatus for calibrating a position sensor mounted on the shaft of a permanent magnet synchronous motor, to control the position of a rotor of the permanent magnet synchronous motor relative to a magnetic field produced by a stator of the permanent magnet synchronous motor, a DC test current is supplied to stator windings of the permanent magnet synchronous motor to generate a definite magnetic field. The motor speed caused by the DC test current is adjusted to zero by modifying the rotor position; and the position measured by the position sensor at zero motor speed relative to the magnetic field is used to calibrate the position sensor.
Abstract: A pressure vessel for the storage of pressurized gaseous hydrogen includes a liner which defines an interior for the accommodation of the gaseous hydrogen and a wrapping encompassing the liner which gives the pressure vessel its dimensional stability. In order to prevent a discharge of gaseous hydrogen from the wrapping of the pressure vessel at a high rate if the pressure vessel is discharged after a prolonged downtime, the wrapping of the pressure vessel is designed to be at least partially gas-permeable, so that the gas penetrating through the liner can escape continuously through the wrapping of the pressure vessel.

Abstract: In a method for the diagnostics of an internal combustion engine exhaust gas system that includes a particle filter, first and second sets of value vectors are determined, each including associated values for absolute pressure upstream and downstream of the particle filter, a differential pressure determined from the values of the absolute pressure, an exhaust gas volume flow through the particle filter, and a temperature of the exhaust gas volume flow. After a temperature-standardization of the pressure values, characteristics for dependence of the pressure values are generated from temperature-standardized values of the first set of value vectors and possibly stored as reference characteristics. By comparing temperature-standardized values for the absolute pressure on the inlet and outlet sides of the particle filter and the differential pressure of the second set of value vectors with reference characteristics, flow anomalies can be determined in the exhaust gas system.
