    Abstract: A novel padholder for a floor polishing or burnishing apparatus having a rotating drive shaft and a circular polishing or burnishing pad which includes planar, resilient arms radiating from a center point, spring means for each arm extending from the center point along each arm in order to urge the arm toward the floor, means to detachably connect the circular pad to the padholder, and means to connecting the rotating drive shaft to the padholder at the center point.
