Abstract: An apparatus for determining the internal pressure of a filled can by measuring the reaction force of a filled can body when the can is passed between back-up and measuring rolls which are spaced apart from each other by 2 mm or more than the average diameter of the axially central portion of the can body. At least one of the rolls has a crown-like outer periphery which has an arcuate sectional profile having a radius of 60 mm or above taken in a plane containing the roll axis.

Abstract: A method for conveying articles comprises sucking a first article to be conveyed into a conveyor pipe by utilizing a negative pressure caused by a first air flow, and discharging the first air flow from an intermediate portion of the conveyor pipe and at the same time sucking a second article to be conveyed into the pipe, while lowering the speed of the conveyed first article leaving the conveyor pipe by utilizing a second air flow having a smaller flow rate than that of the first air flow, and an apparatus for receiving and transporting an article conveyed by the above method comprises a window provided at the remaining portion of the upper end part of the conveyor pipe, and a belt conveyor placed just above the upper end part and having an elastic member and magnets.

Abstract: An apparatus for reverse redrawing of a cup is provided with an annular ring surrounding the upper end periphery of body portion of a die ring, provided concentrically with the die ring, a slightly larger clearance than the wall thickness of the cup to be redrawn being provided between the inside surface of the annular ring and the outside surface of the die ring.

Abstract: A cap for a bottle, having a top wall provided with an annular projected part, a skirt portion suspending downward from the peripheral edge of the top wall, a tab suspending downward from a part of the lower edge of the skirt portion, a pair of first separating lines extending toward the top wall from the vicinity of the intersection of the peripheral edge of the tap and the lower edge of the skirt portion, and a pair of second separating lines extending to the vicinity of the upper end of the skirt portion from the lower edge thereof, wherein the distance between the upper ends of the first separating lines is designed such that the terminal ends of the tearing of the first separating lines themselves, or of the tearing effected beyond the lines, are positioned on the tangent line of the internal peripheral circle of the annular projected part.
