Patents Assigned to Danby of North America
  • Patent number: 6210074
Abstract: A material and method is provided for lining man-entry sized pipes and securing the lining to the pipe. The lining comprises a plurality of adjacent, unplasticized polyvinyl chloride panel segments circumferentially curved within the pipe, each including an interior channel through which grout may be injected. Upon the grout's curing, the grout provides strength and support for a second layer of grout injected into an annulus between the pipe's inner surface and an outer surface of the lining.

  • Patent number: 6168846
Abstract: A liner strip for lining an interior surface of a pipe including an extended plastic strip having T-shaped formations with reinforcing fibers integrally extruded in the liner strip for increasing the liner stiffness and tensile strength to resist forces imposed on the liner during installation.

  • Patent number: 6033149
Abstract: A material and method is provided for lining man-entry sized pipes and securing the lining to the pipe. A plurality of lining panels (10) are positioned along the interior surface of a pipe so as to form a plurality of adjacent wall portions extending through the pipe. The lining panels are each formed with a plurality of T-shaped flanges (20) extending perpendicular to and along said outer wall of the lining panel. A stiffening panel (200) is positioned between at least selected pairs of the T-shaped flanges. The hollow interiors of the stiffening panels are formed to receive and hold grout. The grout when cured provides strength and support for a second layer of grout injected into an annulus between the pipe's inner surface and an outer surface of the lining.

  • Patent number: 5778936
Abstract: A system for generating a liner tube for an underground pipe while material is flowing through the pipe, incorporates a liner winding assembly, a carriage assembly connected to the liner tube being formed, a towing device for generating a pulling force on the carriage assembly and the liner tube being formed, and a liner hub assembly fixedly connected to the liner tube for operatively connecting the carriage assembly with the liner tube. The liner winding assembly includes a feeding and driving device for feeding liner material into the underground pipe, a device for forming the liner material into a liner tube, and a mounting device for fixedly mounting the feeding and driving device and the forming means in the underground pipe. The feeding and driving device generates a driving force to move the liner tube into and through the underground pipe as the liner tube is being formed.

  • Patent number: 5388929
Abstract: A method of renovating sewers or pipes where an elongate plastic strip (30) is spirally wound in the sewer or pipe, the strip having joint formations (32) along each side so that a joint formation (33) on one side of the strip will butt against the joint formation (34) along the other side of an adjacent strip and a joining strip ( 50 ) is spirally wound into engagement with the adjacent joint formations to lock the windings of the strip into place. Grout is injected into the spaces between the liner and the wall of the sewer or pipe to secure the liner in position.

  • Patent number: 5102263
Abstract: A liner for large diameter pipes is formed from lengths of PVC panels (10) which are cut to length and placed around the wall of the pipe, the ends (19) of the panels being butt-joined by joining strips (20). Each panel (10) has a formation along one side complementary with a formation along the other side so that adjacent panels (10) can be clipped together to form a liner extending from manhole to manhole along the pipe.
