  • Patent number: 7052246
Abstract: An axial piston micropump is disclosed, having a cylinder drum, in which several cylinders are provided a swash plate, with respect to which the cylinder drum is rotatable. It is desirable for such a micropump to have a small displacement combined with a long service life and in which the displacement or delivery volume can be achieved with great accuracy. For that purpose, at least two cylinders are provided, of which at least one is in the form of a working cylinder which has an associated working piston, while at least one other cylinder is in the form of a balance cylinder and has an associated balance piston.

  • Publication number: 20060079824
Abstract: This invention relates to an elastic bandage for supporting a body extremity such as a leg. Such bandages are used to overcome problems with fluid retention and swelling in the legs, occurring as a consequence of varicose veins, vascular incompetence, pregnancy, etc. It is a task of this invention to supply an active support for a body extremity such as a leg, which can be used by a person underneath the clothes and will not reduce the mobility of the patient. This task is solved in that an elastic bandage comprises an elastic layer for surrounding a body extremity to exert compressive force on the extremity, the bandage being, at least partly, formed by elastomeric actuation elements, whereby electrical control of the compressive force is possible, and where the control is due to a signal from some sensing system.

  • Publication number: 20060066183
Abstract: A tubular elastomer actuator with a shape in a cross-sectional view which shape exposes at most one single axis of symmetry of a specific length, e.g. an oval shape. The actuator could be made from a sheet made from a plurality of plate shaped elements which are laminated together and rolled. Each plate shaped element may have a corrugation that gives the element an anisotropic structure, and contains an electrode on only one surface. The actuator displacement is the result of shrinkage displacement of the plate shaped elements upon the application of electrical field across their thickness.

  • Patent number: 7005818
Abstract: In a motor actuator, e.g., a valve actuator, comprising a reversible electrical motor, a drive circuit is providing a stop function, when the torque of the motor exceeds a predetermined maximum torque. The drive circuit is constructed as a two-terminal circuit connected in series with the reversible electrical motor, and the electrical power is supplied to the series connection with a mainly fixed voltage VCC and a polarity which provides the desired rotational direction of the motor. This provides the possibility of having the drive circuit positioned close to the motor and maintaining full torque control and stop function with two wire connections.

  • Patent number: 6997430
Abstract: The invention concerns a fail-safe valve having a valve element, and a control motor being connected with the valve element via a driveline. It is endeavored to ensure the tightness of the refrigeration system in a simple manner. For this purpose, it is ensured that the valve element is located inside and the control motor outside a closed valve housing, that the drive line has a magnetic coupling, which acts through the housing, and that the valve element is pressure-released. In addition, a resetting device is provided that causes the valve element to be returned to a predetermined position upon the undesired cessation of control motor operation.

  • Publication number: 20050252222
Abstract: A method for regulating a most loaded circuit of a refrigeration system is provided. Each circuit includes at least one case and an EEPR valve. At least one controller communicates with the EEPR valves for receiving signals from the circuits corresponding to operating conditions for each circuit, and for issuing command signals to the EEPR valves and compressor. The operation of each circuit is monitored and a load signal is calculated for each circuit. The load signals for each circuit are compared and the most loaded circuit is determined. The EEPR valve of the most loaded circuit is adjusted to be approximately 100 percent open and a suction pressure of the compressor is adjusted to move a circuit temperature of the most loaded circuit to a target temperature. The process of selecting and regulating the most loaded circuit is repeated after a predetermined period of time.

  • Publication number: 20050214703
Abstract: A method for ignition of an oil burner and electronic ignition circuitry for oil burners. Electronic ignition circuit for oil burners, for generating temporally spaced sparks. The electronic circuitry comprises circuitry for producing temporally spaced sparks with a spacing not corresponding to a half-period of the AC mains frequency or of a multiple of the AC mains frequency. The circuitry may be used in a method for ignition of an oil burner forming part of an oil burner system, where said oil burner comprises electronic circuitry for producing a first sequence of temporally spaced sparks for ignition of the oil. According to the method, the electronic circuitry is adjusted to subsequently produce a second sequence of temporally spaced sparks if it is detected that the ignition results in acoustic resonance in the oil burner system using said first sequence of temporally spaced sparks.
