Patents Assigned to Danfoss Maneurop S.A.
  • Patent number: 7721757
Abstract: A discharge check valve assembly for use with a hermetic scroll compressor having a compressor shell is provided. The discharge check valve assembly includes a valve housing and a valve seat located within the valve housing. The valve housing is configured to mount the discharge check valve assembly to the compressor shell. The discharge check valve assembly also includes a discharge fitting and a valve subassembly. The discharge fitting is configured to mount to the compressor shell and configured to connect to a connecting tube in fluid communication with a high-pressure system. The valve subassembly has a valve member movable between an open position and a closed position. Additionally, the valve subassembly is configured to be inserted through the discharge fitting into the valve housing.

  • Patent number: 6736607
Abstract: Compressor, comprising a sealed outer casing, inside which is arranged a gas compression stage driven by a motor arranged inside the outer casing. The lower part of the inner casing containing the motor is sealingly closed by a bottom, and at least one vertical chimney is arranged in the annular space formed between the outer casing and the lower casing, the chimney being arranged substantially vertically along the motor and the lower casing, and communicating in its upper part with the low-pressure zone of the compressor and, in its lower part, with the inside of the lower casing, one or more openings being made between the chimney and the bottom of the motor.

  • Patent number: 6719544
Abstract: In a valve used in connection with a scroll compressor, a central profiled body is designed to protrude in an opening for outlet of gas from a compression stage, a outer axisymmetric surface of which is concave, of generally toroidal shape, and is terminated by a tip, the outlet opening of the compression stage being delimited by a curved surface forming, in the downstream direction, a widening providing, with the central profiled body, a cross section for the passage of the gas which is substantially constant, closing means being provided in order to seal this passage in the closed position of the valve.

  • Patent number: 6715999
Abstract: In a compressor at least one bypass valve is arranged in a low-pressure zone inside a casing of the compressor. The bypass valve defines a chamber connected by a first duct to at least one compression pocket situated in the peripheral zone of the compression stage and by a second duct to the low-pressure zone, the two ducts opening near one another so that they can be shut off by a shutter which can move in the chamber, being guided by the walls that delimit this chamber, a third duct intended for conveying a shutter-control fluid opening into the lower wall of the chamber of the valve. The shutter is opened by gravity when no control fluid is applied.

  • Patent number: 6616429
Abstract: This method comprises carrying out the mounting of the body of the compressor and of the compression elements in the casing of the compressor, with the body or fixed scroll bearing on one end of the shroud of the casing, and then welding a cap to the shroud, the crankshaft being engaged in a bearing belonging to the movable part of the compression stage and in a bearing belonging to the body, engaging on the free end of the crankshaft a bearing mounted in a support, itself mounted with radial play in the shroud, with the possibility of being fastened to the latter, displacing the free end of the crankshaft in a plurality of directions perpendicular to its axis, in order to take into account the plays of the bearing mounted in the body, then determining the axis of the bearing on the basis of the various displacements, positioning the bearing and/or its support as a function of this axis, and fastening the support to the casing of the compressor or the bearing on its support.

  • Patent number: 6474964
Abstract: A scroll compressor having a cylindric hermetically closed shell, a suction chamber within the shell, a scroll mechanism in the shell, lubrication mist generating elements, a suction gas inlet opening radially into the suction chamber and a deflector plate in overlying relationship with the suction gas inlet and cooperating with the shell to delimit a duct having at least an upper opening feeding suction gas to the scroll mechanism. To uniformly laden the suction chamber with sufficient oil, the upper opening is shaped to deflect suction gas into a region within the suction chamber where an oil mist is generated by the mist generating elements during operation.
