Patents Assigned to Danfoss
  • Patent number: 3940727
Abstract: The invention relates to a two terminal type thermostat having a switch controlled by a bimetal unit. An accelerator resistor assembly is in the circuit controlled by the switch with the accelerator resistor being in thermal proximity to the bimetal unit. The accelerator resistor assembly includes diode means in parallel with the accelerator resistor with at least two diodes connected in antiparallel relation to each other. In a more specific embodiment at least two diodes are in seris relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 3937598
Abstract: The invention relates to refrigeration apparatus of the type having a casing which contains an electric motor and reciprocating compressor means. This type of apparatus is subject to creating undesirable vibrations and noises, the reduction of which is the object of the invention. This is done by adding additional mass to the casing which is equal to fifty per cent or more of the mass of the casing. The correspondingly greater mass inertia has the effect of causing the casing to absorb vibrations emanating from the interior of the casing to a lesser extent than before.

  • Patent number: 3936235
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel oil supply assembly of the type having a magnetic pump and an armature for driving a pump element or piston which is a part of a resilient oscillatory system. A flow restricting pressure regulating vlave in the delivery line is itself regulated in a manner such that the stroke of the oscillatory system is automatically adjusted so that only the exact quantity of oil required by the nozzle is delivered. The intermittent delivery movement inherent in the oscillatory system is thus made smoother by a damping of the oscillations which results from the piston being caused to travel over only a fraction of its maximum stroke.

  • Patent number: 3934426
Abstract: The invention relates to a thermostatic expansion valve assembly for refrigeration units. Condenser pressures are normally five to ten times greater in the summer than in the winter. In the assembly hereof the characterostic adjustment curve is made less dependent on the condenser pressure by reason of having two flow restricting zones in series in which one of the zones has a variable rate closing mode of operation which restricts flow at a constantly increasing rate as the condenser pressure rises.

  • Patent number: 3935385
Abstract: Several forms of multiplexing circuit are disclosed in which any selected one of a number of process responsive signal transmitters can be connected to a common measuring impedance by means of electronic switching devices individually associated with said transmitters. All transmitters are maintained energized at all times, whether or not they are addressed, to permit higher sampling speed.

  • Patent number: 3933306
Abstract: An air conditioning system comprising a room to which conditioned air having temperature and volume parameters is delivered. Temperature sensing means is provided for sensing the temperature of the air in the room. Air supply means responsive to the sensing means is provided in an air supply duct. Damper means is also mounted in the duct for varying the effective area of the opening of the duct. A regulating means is provided for controlling the damper to vary the air velocity in accordance with a constant value for the expression A.sub.r. L.sup. .sup.-3/2, where A.sub.r is the Archimedean number, and l represents the effective area of the opening.
