Abstract: An AC voltage is applied to feeder end points of an electrode assembly enclosed within a body of liquid through which current is conducted to generate heat. The current path has a minimum effective length of a quarter wave antenna of the single wire dipole type from which electromagnetic wave energy is radiated at a radio frequency that is a harmonic of the alternating frequency of the AC voltage applied.
