Abstract: A method of and device for cutting off the upper portion of a closed container of plastics material for example, the device comprising above a vertically movable bottle support, three overlying clamps adapted to tightly conform to the neck of the bottle and a blade rotatably mounted between two clamps, the three clamps and the blade being made fast to concentric rotary shafts, respectively, each one operable by a link.
Abstract: A device for cutting off the top part of a container such as a bottle neck, comprising a plurality of pivoted arms operating like nippers gripping round the bottle necks and which carry each one at least at one of their ends a cutting form roller disposed between two form rollers for driving and guiding the bottle necks, the device allowing the indivudual cutting of closed bottles of plastics material adapted to contain any food liquid such as milk for instance.
Abstract: A method and device for transferring lids into a machine for the sterile conditioning of containers, the device comprising two elongated parallel nipper-holding members extending with one end into a sterile container-conditioning enclosure, one of these two members being reciprocally movable with respect to the other nipper-holding member which remains stationary being held against translatory motion. The device is adapted to transferring, depositing and provisionally securing lids onto containers or cups filled with any product or foodstuff.
