Abstract: The invention relates to drawing systems using a series of jaws for the support, transport and drawing of the film (2), which are supported and guided by rails and driven by endless chains (3), connecting the jaws between the above. Each chain (3) is driven by two toothed wheels (6,7) of large diameter (D), one wheel (6) located at the beginning of the forward run (4) and the other wheel (7) located at the rear end of the return run (5) of the chain (3). Each wheel (6,7) is provided with motorised rotational drive means, said means being synchronised with each other. Such a drive device finds application in high speed drawing machines.
Abstract: The device (2) comprises four drawing cylinders (6, 7, 8, 9) on which the film (5) passes and which are associated with press cylinders (13, 21, 26), comprising: a first drawing cylinder (6) having a fixed axis (10), a second drawing cylinder (7) having a fixed axis (12) which is offset in relation to the previous one, a third drawing cylinder (8) whose position is adjustable and a fourth drawing cylinder (9) having a fixed axis (25). Said cylinders (6 A 9) are rotationally driven at differentiated speeds, such hat a first drawing stage is formed between the second cylinder (7) and the third cylinder (8), whereby the drawing distance (D) is preferably adjustable, and a second drawing stage is formed between the third cylinder (8) and the fourth cylinder (9). The invention is used for the longitudinal drawing of synthetic films.

Abstract: A machine that has an assembly formed from a frame on which is rotatably mounted on a drum with parallel winding cores. This assembly is mounted so as to move translationally in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the axes of the drum and of the cores, while the sheet product feeding mechanism is fixed. The translational displacement of the movable assembly allows its gradual advance as the diameter of a reel being formed grows and also makes it possible to leave, between this assembly and the sheet product feeding mechanism, a gap available for an operator, for the purpose of introducing the leading edge of the sheet product onto one of the cores.
Abstract: The machine is equipped with a device for cutting the sheet to shift from one roll to another; the cutting device comprises a stand (3) on which a turret (2) has been mounted, said turret bearing at least two parallel spindles (1), each linked to rotating driving means known in the art; the rotation of the turret simultaneously removes a full roll and brings an empty spindle to the coiling station. A carriage (5) capable of motion perpendicular to the spindle axis conveys cylinders to load the machine with sheets to be rolled.
Abstract: A foil or film of plastic or rubber is extruded and placed upon a cooled drum for the cooling of the film or foil with the aid of an air sheet derived from a nozzle section which extends above the drum transverse to the direction of displacement of the foil or film. The nozzle has flow deflectors which are responsible from the walls to vary the deflectors. The flow deflectors are convex toward one another and have air foil configurations while being designed to deflect respective streams outwardly along the edges of the foil to resist curvature.
