    Abstract: An afghan construction and method of making an afghan is provided. The afghan is made from a plurality of afghan squares, each square having four sides. The sides of the squares which are to lie on the outer periphery of the afghan have a border region formed integrally therewith. The afghan squares are joined together by stitching or the like so that the sides of the squares which include the border region lie on the outer periphery of the afghan.
