Patent number: 8856172Abstract: A system, method and database design is provided for unifying data from a plurality of databases, each having business-context related data and a data access mechanism. A database is created which contains a node for each dimension of an industry. For each data source accessible via the system, a set of data source specific dimensions is created and mapped to the corresponding industry business context dimension(s). A set of templates (e.g., UniViews) is created to query the data sources. Each UniView contains a specific question for a specific dimension designed for a specific data source. A central server coordinates the system and facilitates use of the system through an interface (e.g., the UniViewer). UniViewer allows a user to query the data sources by identifying an industry business context dimension, a dimension instance and at least one UniView. Multiple UniViews can be combined, cached and saved to facilitate complex queries.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2012Date of Patent: October 7, 2014Assignee: Datatrak International, Inc.Inventors: Marc J. Shlaes, Jochen van Berkel, Hermann Engel, Mario Jugel

Patent number: 5568157Abstract: A low profile, dual purpose antenna for simultaneous UHF and LF use has two coplanar antenna elements, one of which is circular and the other of which is a concentric annulus separated from it by a dielectric, as well as a third, linear antenna element extending from the center of the circular element. The circular element serves both to assist in tuning the UHF section of the antenna and as a voltage probe for the electrostatic component of the LF signal. Integrated within the antenna housing is a high input impedance, low noise amplifier for bandwidth limiting the LF signals. A coaxial feeder cable serves to connect both UHF and LF sections of the antenna to external equipment. Entry for the coaxial feeder cable into the antenna housing is through a threaded collar, which also acts as a single point fixing of the antenna to the roof of a vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1995Date of Patent: October 22, 1996Assignee: Securicor Datatrak LimitedInventor: Philip M. Patent number: 5402348Abstract: A method of determining the position of an object comprising the steps of: producing a plurality of hyperbolic electromagnetic wave patterns; calculating from said patterns at least three lines of position; identifying the lane of each line of position by two independent methods; comparing the size of the area enclosed by the lines of position based on the lanes identified by a first of said methods with the size of the area enclosed by the lines of position identified by a second of said methods and producing therefrom an indication as to whether the lanes identified by the first method are more likely to be correct than those identified by the second method; and computing the position of the object using the lines of position based on the lanes identified as being more likely to be correct.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 1992Date of Patent: March 28, 1995Assignee: Securicor Datatrak LimitedInventors: Paul G. Patent number: 4808993Abstract: Card for use in a security system having at least two rows of spaced apart metallic elements with a predetermined arrangement so that the metallic elements are encoded with a non-erasable code. An opaque material encases the metallic elements to form a card-like member and to make the metallic elements invisible to the human eye.Method for forming a card for use in a security system which comprises a metallic planar sheet and removing material from the sheet to provide a plurality of metallic elements arranged in at least two rows. At least portions of at least certain of the metallic elements are removed to place a unique code in the elements. The elements are then encased in an opaque material to form a card-like member and to conceal the metallic elements from the human eye.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1987Date of Patent: February 28, 1989Assignee: DataTrak, Inc.Inventor: Keith S.
