Abstract: A method of applying a magnetic coating to a surface including steps of releasably attaching a framing member to a surface, the framing member defining at least one opening; applying a magnetic coating to the surface within said opening; allowing the magnetic coating to dry; and removing the framing member from the surface, such that the magnetic coating remains fixed to the surface. The framing member is removed from the surface, and additional magnetic coating is applied to the surface to fill in gaps left from removing the framing member.
Abstract: A magnetically attractive coating composition containing paint and iron particles at a concentration of 70 to 85 wt. %. The paint may be a primer paint. The iron particles are mixed into the paint without stabilizing additives and applied to a surface. The magnetically attractive coating may be covered by a decorative paint or wallpaper.
