  • Patent number: 5695065
Abstract: The invention provides a bag dispenser comprising a container having a back plate intended to be attached to a vertical surface, and a cover which can be opened for loading the container with a plurality of bags and which has an opening through which the bags can be dispensed one after the other. A dividing member is provided within the container around which dividing member the bags can be folded, and the cover is hinged to the bottom of the back plate during loading of the container, whereby the bags become folded around the dividing member by the cover as the cover is closed. The invention also provides a method of dispensing bags one after the other from the container, the bags being loaded into the container so that they hang substantially vertically of the back plate, and folded around the dividing member by the step of closing the cover.

  • Patent number: 5695692
Abstract: Described is an air freshener unit comprising a container, a disc-shaped cartridge of air freshening material rotatably mounted about a horizontal axis within the container, and a discharge outlet in the wall of the container to allow the air freshening vapor to be dispensed. The container has baffle means adapted to allow a faster rate of evaporation of the air freshening material in one part of the cartridge relative to the remainder of the cartridge. The quicker rate of evaporation of the offset part causes the center of gravity to self-rotate within the container. The disc-shaped cartridge comprises a holder having a hub portion for rotatably mounting the cartridge in the container and holding means for supporting air freshening material in block form uniformly around the hub portion. The hub portion has oppositely directed stub shafts for location in apertures in opposed walls of the container, the apertures allowing the cartridge to rotate.

  • Patent number: 5244263
Abstract: A continuous towel cabinet comprises a compartment for a roll of clean towel, and an arrangement of rollers for repeatedly allowing a length of clean towel to be dispensed into a loop beneath the cabinet and for simultaneously rewinding an equivalent length of soiled towel onto a rewind roller. The clean towel compartment is disposed above the arrangement of rollers and has at least a flexible base wall whereby the roll of soiled towel can reduce the depth of the clean towel compartment as the roll of soiled towel increases during operation of the towel cabinet. The clean towel compartment is preferably a flexible bag which is detachable from the cabinet. The pressure roller of the roller arrangement is also preferably mounted on the cover of the cabinet. The arrangement may also allow back rotation of the front metering roller with respect to the rewind roller.

  • Patent number: 4848854
Abstract: A continuous towel cabinet comprises a holder for a roll of clean towel, an arrangement of rollers for repeatedly allowing a length of clean towel to be dispensed into a loop beneath the holder and including a rewind roller on which an equivalent length of soiled towel is simultaneously rewound, separate take-up means for retracting the loop at the end of each cycle of operation, and a compartment for receiving the length of towel withdrawn by the loop take-up means, the soiled towel within the compartment being subsequently wound onto the rewind roller during the next or succeeding cycles of operation. The loop take-up means comprises a drive roller driven by an electric motor, and the cabinet contains an independent power source for operating the electric motor. Furthermore, there are provided control means for the motor actuated by sensing means responsive to the tension in the towel whereby after the towel is released by the user the loop will be retracted.
