Patent number: 10626004Abstract: A front push tap dispenser has a flow configuration and a sealed configuration. The tap comprises a tap body, a spring button member and a valve seal member, with the two members connected by a flexible stem having two ends, each end connected to the spring button member and the valve seal member. When in the sealed configuration the spring button holds the flexible stem and the valve seal member so the valve seal member is sealingly engaged to the inner wall of the dispensing port. When in the flow configuration the spring button is depressed, which causes the flexible stem and the valve seal to move downwardly to unseal the dispensing port to allow fluid to be dispensed. When the spring button is released, it elastically springs back to the undepressed position, causing the valve seal member to sealingly engage with the inner wall of the dispensing port.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2018Date of Patent: April 21, 2020Assignee: David S. Smith America, Inc.Inventors: Bradley L. Trettin, Ronald E. Kieras

Publication number: 20200093302Abstract: A dispenser having a container for holding solid material to be dispensed. A metering dispenser is connected to the open bottom end of the container, the metering dispenser further including a button connected to a slide, the slide having a metering chamber which slides horizontally in a slide chamber. The slide chamber has an upper opening in communication with the open bottom end of the container and the slide chamber has a lower dispensing opening. The solid material fills metering chamber which is sized to hold a predetermined amount of the solid material, the solid material filling the metering chamber by gravity feed when the button is in the closed position, in which the metering chamber is in communication with the upper opening in the slide chamber. The solid material is dispensed when the button is depressed to slide the metering chamber over the lower dispensing opening.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 27, 2019Publication date: March 26, 2020Applicant: David S. Smith America, Inc., DBA, Worldwide DispensersInventors: Ronald E. Kieras, Matthew Ruschmeier

Publication number: 20200062020Abstract: A pen dispenser is provided with a tube having an open top for holding a fluid to be dispensed. A valve housing made of plastic and having channels on an inner wall is also provided. There is also an applicator nib made of plastic, along with a plastic spring actuator having a plastic button, and a button retainer. In a closed position the plastic spring actuator is sealingly engaged to the valve housing blocking the flow of fluid out around the applicator nib, and in the open position, the plastic spring actuator is depressed so it is no longer sealingly engaged to the valve housing, allowing the fluid to flow through the channels on the inner wall and exit the dispenser around the applicator nib.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 21, 2019Publication date: February 27, 2020Applicant: David S. Smith America, Inc., DBA, Worldwide DispensersInventor: Loren L. Brelje

Patent number: 10131530Abstract: A fluid dispenser has a main body, a valve member, and a dome member. The dome member is attached to the valve member such that the valve member is slidable within the main body. Pressing on the dome member opens the valve so that fluid can flow out of a dispensing port in the main body. The main body has an outer flow surface and an inner flow surface. The valve has a face. In conjunction, the outer flow surface, inner flow surface, and face define a fluid passageway for fluid to flow exteriorly to the inner flow surface, interiorly to the outer flow surface, and exit the fluid dispenser via the dispensing port.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 2015Date of Patent: November 20, 2018Assignee: DAVID S. SMITH AMERICA, INC.Inventor: Bradley L. Trettin

Publication number: 20180188092Abstract: The invention provides a hand held dispenser which has an upper enclosure for holding material to be dispensed, the upper enclosure having an open end. The invention has a lower dispenser which is connected to the upper enclosure and which has a dispensing opening which is selectively sealed by a valve. The valve has a seal end and a valve stem end, the valve stem end operatively engaged to an elastic button. When the button is depressed, the valve seal end is pushed out of the dispensing opening, to allow material to be dispensed from the hand held dispenser and when the button is released, it elastically returns to an undepressed position, closing the dispensing opening.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 3, 2018Publication date: July 5, 2018Applicant: David S.
