  • Fence to capture windblown particles

    Abstract: The invention provides fences for capture and control of windblown particles such as snow. In preferred embodiments the fences comprise a porous upwind panel and a porous downwind panel which are separated by a gap. The fences are adapted to deposit windblown particles in highly concentrated drifts disposed upwind and/or downwind of the fence with relatively few particles deposited in the gap. Methods for snow capture and land reclamation are also provided.
