  • Patent number: 7311883
Abstract: The system is based on a change in the intensity of evaporation caused by a chimney effect, modifying the flow of air that circulates through the environment apparatus in the surrounding area of the wick. It consists of using a casing (1) with slots (6) for the passage of air in its upper part. This is done in such a manner that said casing (1) can be used in isolation, thus attaining an apparatus that does not regulate the evaporation intensity, but that has a complementary part (7) joined to the upper part of said casing (1). This assembly, enabling free turning, has complementary slots (9), that determine a greater or lesser flow of air and the consequent regulation of the intensity of the evaporation, depending on the greater or lesser degree of opposition they have to the slots (6).

  • Patent number: 7209650
Abstract: A method and a device to evaporate volatile substances such as aromatic substances and/or insecticides, in which the volatile substances are evaporated using electrical heating devices that heat a wick impregnated with the substance to be evaporated. The method and device permits the evaporation of the volatile substance efficiently by optimizing the use of heat energy generated by electrical heating devices. The device comprises a rotating pipe with at least one opening with a portion of wick inserted in this pipe and depending on the position of this pipe relative to the heating elements, the amount of heat flow transmitted to the wick is regulated as well as, consequently, the degree of evaporation of the volatile substance.

  • Patent number: 7076160
Abstract: The indicator is a non-electric indicator and is based on a thermochromic material which is applied on a diffuser or thermodiffuser device of volatile substances (1), so that when heating of the latter takes place to evaporate the volatile substance contained in a reservoir associated with said device (1), when a determined temperature is reached the indicator, constituted by a plastic insert (4) with thermochromic pigments, changes colour and indicates that the diffuser device (1) is in diffusion conditions. The colour change product can be constituted by the combination of some thermochromic and normal paints applied on the external surface of the device, so that when a determined temperature is reached the thermochromic paint changes colour and originates an indication of the device being in diffusion conditions.

  • Patent number: 7070172
Abstract: The present invention is related to devices for evaporating volatile substances in a closed environment, without the use of electric power, heating elements or absorption wicks, for the purpose of simplifying and maximally reducing the cost of the device, but at the same time maintaining its efficacy and also allowing the user to be able to adjust at will the degree of evaporation of said product. For that purpose, the evaporator device uses a vapor permeable membrane as the element responsible for causing the evaporation of the product to be evaporated. The device is especially intended to be used with the cooperation of an air current with a suitable temperature enhancing the evaporation and diffusion of the volatile substance, such as the ventilation air outlet of a vehicle, for example. The volatile substance consists in an air-freshening product, insecticide or the like. The invention is also related to a method for the evaporation of volatile substances through a membrane.

  • Patent number: 6854717
Abstract: The device comprises a base (1) and an exchangeable case (7), between which are placed corresponding components such as a bottle (9) containing the fragrant liquid and the corresponding wick (8), as well as the heating elements (4) connected to corresponding metallic contacts (5) and mounted on a support (3), also including a platform or printed circuit (2) with electronic components that allow optimizing the diffusion of the fragrance, to prevent olfactory saturation of the user, independently of the manual actuation means that allow regulating the intensity of evaporation of the fragrant liquid itself. The device also includes the corresponding plug (10) placed in correspondence with the part near the bottom end of the base (1).

  • Patent number: 6850697
Abstract: A heater device includes an external casing (1), an inner part (2), a pair of contact elements (3) and (3?), and a jack plug (4). Contact elements (3) and (3?) define pairs of salient projections (17) and (18) which allow connection of the jack plug (4) in two positions of rotation, at 90° to each other, and prevent connection in an intermediate position. The heater device operates to heat a wick which emerges from a vessel containing an active substance to cause the evaporation of the substance. The vessel is retained on the lower end of the heather device by a ring (26) provided on inner part (2).
