    Abstract: A micropile (40) having an improved attachment to a concrete footing (56). The micropile (40) includes a novel top connector (50) attached to a shortened top casing segment (52d). The shortened top casing segment (52d) is attached to the other segments (52a-b) of the casing 52 for the micropile (40) by a casing coupler (62). The casing coupler (62) is located just below the concrete footing (56) for the micropile (40).
