Abstract: A progressively rolling display method of animation graphics on a cellular phone which offers a much more dynamic and interesting way of displaying the contents of a cellular phone, and in particular to one having a selection pending area presented by means of a large graphic animation provided in the center of the display on the cellular phone and accompanied to its right and left by multiple icons indicating previous and next options, so that when a user is browsing and selecting options from a List of Main Functions, the icon is in progressive rolling sequence and enters either from right to left or left to right into the central area to become an option pending selection to exit and then the existing option is reduced and quits the central area and becomes an icon of a previous option.

Abstract: A method of aligning a nozzle plate with a mask, used for aligning a plurality of nozzles on the nozzle plate with a plurality of layouts on the mask, wherein each nozzle is defined between two nozzle positioning marks, the nozzle plate is provided with a film thereon, and the mask has a plurality of layouts defined between two layout positioning marks, including steps of: selecting two of the nozzle positioning marks, removing portion of the film above the two nozzle positioning marks with a chemical agent, arranging the mask on the nozzle plate, and moving the mask so as to make the two nozzle positioning marks each align with a respective one of layout positioning marks.

Abstract: A structure of a scanner includes a housing having a top provided with a glass window, a carriage mounted inside housing, the carriage including a a casing having a plurality of openings, a light source arranged within the casing for illuminating an object placed face down against the glass window above the carriage, and a plurality of mirrors fitted in the openings, whereby the scanner is compact in size and easy to assemble.

Abstract: A method of changing the code of a radio communication system having a main unit and at least one remote unit is provided. The method generally includes in an embodiment the step of setting the code transmission frequency of the main unit of the radio communication system at a value within a frequency gap separating a first channel from a second channel of the main unit. The method also includes the step of setting the code transmission frequency of the remote unit at a value within a frequency gap separating a first channel from a second channel of that remote unit. The method further includes the step of selecting a code for encoding communication signals between the main and remote units and transmitting the selected code from one of the main and remote units to the other at the code transmission frequency.

Abstract: A communication system includes a primary unit transmitting a first signal at a first instance, receiving a second signal at a second instance and energized by a power source having a voltage level, a secondary unit transmitting a third signal at a first instance, receiving a fourth signal at a second instance, and having a first communication mode and a second communication-shut mode, and a mode-changing device enabling the primary unit to generate a mode-changing signal to be received by the secondary unit for changing the secondary unit from the first communication mode into the second communication-shut mode when the voltage level falls below a specific value. A mode-changing method for such communication system is also provided.

Abstract: A unitary wiper for a printhead on a print cartridge in an ink-jet printer is disclosed. The wiper is made of an elastomeric material and includes a base mounted in the ink-jet printer, a beam having a pair of approximately opposed substantially planar surfaces each of which terminates in a first wiping edge at a first end of the beam and at the base at a second end of the beam, and a slot formed on the beam, and extending along the second end from a third end of the beam to a fourth end of the beam. The first end is a plane surface and the beam further has at the plane surface a second wiping edge opposed to the first wiping edge.

Abstract: A method of controlling excessive electroforming portion of an oscillating plate for an ink-jet printer includes steps of supplying a direct current power to electroform a first layer for a first time period, supplying an alternating current power to electroform a second layer on the first layer for a second time period to form an oscillating layer, coating the second layer with a photoresistive agent at positions where no projection is to be formed and supplying the alternating current power to electroform for a third time period so as to form desired projections on the second layer, whereby no excessive electroforming portion will be formed on the projections.

Abstract: A wireless telephone dialing method in which the handset transmits a key number and an accompanied identification code to the base repeatedly when one number key of the handset is clicked, and the base, upon receipt of the signal from the handset, compares the accompanied identification code with an identification code stored therein so as to judge if the key number has been dialed to the telecommunication company or not, and to prevent a miss of the transmission of a key number.

Abstract: A belt tension adjusting device provided on a scanner transmission belt to adjust the tension of the transmission belt, includes a helical spring that helps maintain the tension of the transmission belt, a retaining post for fixing the position of the helical spring, and a toothed recess for connecting the scanner to the transmission belt.

Abstract: A sheet-by-sheet paper feeding structure includes a sheets separating plate and a pressure plate. When a pile of paper is fed into the paper feeding structure, a front end of the pile urges against the sheets separating plate, which is in turn pressed by a press leg of the press plate above so that the sheets of paper are checked from displacing forwardly. The press plate further includes elastic plates having elastic plate press legs that help keep the sheets of paper flat and stable during feeding. A lowermost sheet of the pile is in direct contact with a roller of a facsimile machine or printer or the like. When the roller rolls forwardly, it will only bring the lowermost sheet to advance forwardly while the rest of the pile is being checked by the sheets separating plate.

Abstract: A paper guide mechanism for guiding a movement of a paper in a printer includes a frame body having a lower roller and mounted in the printer, and a paper guide having an upper roller cooperating with the lower roller for guiding therebetween the paper, in which the upper roller is parallelly displaced with respect to the lower roller for biasing the paper in order that the paper can be guided through the paper guide smoothly. The paper guide further has an elastic rod being integrally formed with the paper guide and the elastic rod includes a retaining part to rotatably retain a shaft of the upper roller. The retaining part can have a retaining channel having an opening through which the shaft of the upper roller is received in the channel.

Abstract: A method of compressing letters adapted to store a letter in a specific bit and a memory unit includes compiling a set of 26 letters of the English alphabet and dividing it into two halves, which are respectively encoded as headers or tailers. Headers are stored in the specific bit, while tailers are stored in the memory unit, so as to reduce memory spaces. By using the method in combination with a speciaily designed data structure, 16 letters may be stored in 10 bits.

Abstract: An optical device including a reflecting device, a focusing device and a processing device for realizing image data of a target object is disclosed. The focusing device is located within an enclosed area surrounded by a reflective light track so that the two light paths respectively from the target object to the focusing device through the reflecting device, and from the focusing device to the processing device are overlapped. By this way, the size of the optical device contributed by the distance between the reflective device and the processing device is reduced.
