Abstract: The invention relates to a cupboard for storing and bringing prepared meals to a suitable temperature, said cupboard being divided into a storage compartment or space and a compartment or chamber for bringing to suitable temperature. The meals are carried on trays superposed in the storage space. Individual metallic flaps comprising at least one mobile portion are provided at the level of each tray in order to separate or place the storage space and chamber in communication and transporting mechanisms are provided for transferring the dishes contained in inner compartments of the trays towards the chamber for bringing to suitable temperature and for returning them into the compartments where they were located after a sequence of bringing to suitable temperature in the chamber intended for this purpose. The invention finds particular application in the distribution of meals in collective catering.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a tray storing the various constituents of a prepared meal and provided with means for taking them to the desired temperature, said tray comprising inner compartment, preferably made of metal and impervious to an electromagnetic microwave radiation, which is adapted to contain a dish to be reheated and which is provided with an opening in a side wall for the introduction and withdrawal of said dish. The invention is more particularly applicable to the distribution of meals in hospitals.
Abstract: The invention relates to a cabinet or the like for storing and taking to a suitable temperature prepared meals carried on trays adapted to be introduced in a storage space in the cabinet which comprises at least one source of electromagnetic microwave radiation placed in a chamber, separated from the storage space, and individual metallic flaps placed at the level of each tray and comprising at least one movable part, for separating or placing in communication, at the level of the tray, the storage space and the chamber containing the microwave source, depending on whether the movable part of the flap is in a first or a second position.
