Abstract: A plant is made up of a plurality of automatic stations for the performance of an assembly process of body parts or the like with there being in the stations automatic support and blocking means for the parts to be assembled and automatic assembly means for the parts supported and blocked and comprising in the stations measurement sensors in established measurement points for measurement of geometrical magnitudes of the parts in assembly with the measurement data taken by the sensors being received by a processing unit which takes any deformations of the parts in the various stations and goes back from the detected deformations to the causes thereof in the asembly process and emits a diagnosis signal of the presumed cause.

Abstract: A positioning device for a measuring machine wherein a measuring head is movable in a three-dimensional space with respect to a first reference system, and supports a visual sensor having a television camera and a source of a laser beam. The device displays on a monitor the two-dimensional image picked up by the camera and on which is positionable a pointer movable by manual control to select a point of interest in the displayed two-dimensional image. The device moves the measuring head automatically into a position in which the origin of a second reference system, proper to the visual sensor and having two coordinate axes in the two-dimensional image plane, is located at a point, in the three-dimensional space, corresponding to the point of interest selected on the two-dimensional image.
Abstract: An assembly for connecting a measuring tool to a measuring head moved by a measuring robot and having an output member rotating at least about one axis; the assembly having three supports located peripherally with respect to the axis and defining an isostatic constraint between the output member and a connecting portion for connecting the tool to the head; the assembly having releasable locking means interposed between the connecting portion of the tool and the output member; and the releasable locking means having engaging means located substantially along the axis, and a pneumatic actuating member cooperating with and for controlling release of the engaging means.
Abstract: A supporting element having a base positionable on a table of a measuring machine; a rod in turn having a vertical axis, and which is fitted to the base and movable axially to adjust the height of the supporting element; and an end portion fitted to the rod and cooperating with a position reference fixture moved by the machine; the supporting element also having locking means interposed between the rod and the end portion, and which are releasable to permit a limited amount of movement of the end portion with respect to the rod when configuring the supporting element.
