Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the preparation of composite silica alcogels, aerogels and xerogels, comprising i) providing a reaction mixture comprising at least the following: silane reagent, base catalyst, gelation retarding additive, aqueous/organic solvent mixture, guest particle, ii) agitating the reaction mixture as necessary and sufficient until achieving the viscosity where the spontaneous movement of the guest particles does not occur anymore; and iii) shaping the material obtained to a desired shape during or after step ii); then iv) drying, if desired The method according to the invention is also useful in continuous manufacturing technology, and the invention provides an apparatus for applying the method. The invention further provides novel composite silica alcogels, aerogels or xerogels obtainable by the method according to the invention.
Abstract: The subject of the invention is a perorally applicable preparation of vegetable origin, resistant to pepsin and trypsin, based on histaminase, optionally for the use as an agent for improving digestion, reducing appetite or reducing body weight. The preparation of the invention is a pressed juice—which is optionally in lyophilized form—obtained from seedlings of pea (Pisum sativum L.), lentil (Lens culinaris), chick pea (Cicer arietinum), grass pea (Latirus sativus), bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) or field bean (Vicia faba) or—from a mixture of seedlings of the above mentioned plants—which contains histaminase, catalase and protease inhibitor. The subject as well of the invention is the production of the above preparation.

Abstract: In a portable electronic device, a method of authenticating a document associated with a geographical location is disclosed. A document is provided in the form of digital data, and a hash value is generated from the digital data of said document. Raw GPS data are received from at least one GPS satellite, and then digitally signed by a first private key of the portable electronic device. From the raw GPS data, exact GPS coordinates are calculated. A request for an authentic location stamp is sent to a certification unit, the request containing at least the hash value of the document, the raw GPS data and the exact GPS coordinates, wherein said request is digitally signed by a private key of the portable electronic device. In response to said location stamp request, a nonce value from the certification unit is received, said nonce value being digitally signed by a private key of the certification unit.
