Abstract: A method of manufacturing a sleeve for placement around a container utilizes a single continuous sheet of plastic which is folded into an enclosed shape having a front side, a back side and an overlapping section extending over the front side to form a sleeve body. This enclosed shape is held together by welding through adjacent edges of the front and back sides and the overlapping section to form parallel welds. In the final method step at least one precut is formed in the overlapping section. This precut extends parallel to the welds to allow for detachment of a portion of the overlapping section such that the front side is visible. Information can be printed both on the overlapping section and on the front and back sides, so that the sleeve of the invention has a larger surface area for printing than conventional sleeves which include only front and back portions.
Abstract: Sleeve intended to be placed around a container, such as a can or the like, in order to constitute an information medium and formed by a body made of a plastic sheet which is shaped in order to fit on the perimeter of the container and capable of taking printing, wherein at least two flap-forming parts (7, 8) are fixed to the sleeve body (6) by a fixing mechanism (5), each by a first edge parallel to the generatrix of the body (6), and extending so as to be able to end up covering all or part of the sleeve body (6), and wherein at least one of the faces of the flap-forming parts is also capable of taking or displaying printing.

Abstract: The bag comprises, respectively fixed by welding to the two inner edge portions of the opening (3) of the bag and substantially throughout the length of the opening, two bars (4, 5) of plastics material having complementary sections (7, 8, 9, 10) capable of interpenetration upon application of a force for preventing opening of the bag by manual force.
