  • Patent number: 12541015
Abstract: A system processes radar signals to determine the relative position and motion of nearby objects. By directly processing a radar signal to estimate the range, velocity, and acceleration of an object, the system can more quickly and accurately determine the acceleration of an object. More precisely, the system may first process samples of a radar signal reflected from an object using a Fourier transform. Then, by using a coarse search method, the system can process the processed samples to quickly generate an initial estimate of an object's position and motion. Then, by using an iterative optimization method, the system can refine the initial estimate of the object's position and motion to generate a final estimate of an object's position and motion.

  • Patent number: 12396393
Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically configuring a cutterbar between a flexible configuration and a rigid configuration in response to actuation of a gauge wheel are disclosed. The cutterbar is coupled to the gauge wheel such that extension of the gauge wheel causes the cutterbar to move into the rigid configuration and retraction of the gauge wheel causes the cutterbar to move into the flexible configuration.

  • Patent number: 10383280
Abstract: A mower deck discharge chute includes a flexible member attached with a hinge to a multi-blade mower deck, and a drive belt tunnel through the flexible member that an attachment drive belt passes through when the flexible member is pivoted up to a generally vertical position. The attachment drive belt may be on a single plane to engage a drive sheave on the multi-blade mower deck, a driven sheave on the belt driven attachment, and an idler.

  • Patent number: 10172276
Abstract: An implement frame having a carriage frame for coupling to a towing vehicle and wheels to support the frame for movement over a ground surface. A pivot frame is rotationally mounted to the carriage frame and a lift assembly is coupled to the pivot frame via a shift assembly. A tool bar is mounted to the lift assembly. The shift assembly moves the tool bar forward as it is moved from the field use position to the transport position. The wheels are mounted to swing arms to move the wheels inward for a narrow transport position. All motion is accomplished through actuators, such as hydraulic cylinders, to automate the process making it quick and easy.

  • Patent number: 9713298
Abstract: An agricultural seeding machine comprises, in one example, a seed delivery system configured to deliver seeds to at least one trench by two or more substantially gravity-drop channels, and a seed metering system comprising a rotating meter element configured to singulate seeds from a seed source into the two or more channels.

  • Patent number: 9714681
Abstract: A method of assembling a shaft assembly having a shaft defining a longitudinal axis and including a groove in an outer circumferential surface includes positioning a hub relative to the shaft and positioning a retaining ring in the groove of the shaft and adjacent to the hub. The retaining ring includes an annular body that has a first end spaced apart from a second end. The method also includes securing a retaining member to the retaining ring to constrain the first end relative to the second end.

  • Patent number: 8831292
Abstract: An arrangement for the optical evaluation of harvested crop in a harvesting machine includes a camera located for taking images of threshed out crop elements (grain and material other than grain) being conveyed within a channel of the machine. An electronic image processing system receives the images and identifies individual objects in the images, these objects being classified into predetermined object classes by way of comparing at least one of color, contour or texture features of the individual objects and corresponding characteristics of reference objects filed in a data bank. The processing system then determines the absolute or relative numbers or areas of the individual objects assigned to the respective object classes.

  • Patent number: 6729459
Abstract: A PTO clutch of an agricultural vehicle connects an input driveline to an output driveline for coupling to an attached implement. A method and system for controlling the PTO clutch includes sensors for sensing rotational speeds on both sides of the clutch. Clutch slip is determined from the sensed speeds. A controller receives an actual slip signal and a desired slip signal and controls pressure in the clutch to maintain a constant desired clutch slip in order to avoid overload conditions. The torque transmitted by the clutch is determined as a function of the slip in the clutch and the clutch pressure, and a signal representing this torque is displayed to an operator.

  • Patent number: 6220270
Abstract: An improved the velocity fuse valve controls communication between first and second brake valves and first and second brake lines. The velocity fuse valve includes a valve housing having a valve bore which slidably receives a valve spool. The spool moves in response to pressure in first and second pilot chambers, each communicated with a corresponding first and second outlet. The first pilot chamber is communicated with the first outlet via a first dashpot passage and a first orifice, and the second pilot chamber is communicated with the second outlet via a second dashpot passage and a second orifice. The orifices reduce or control how fast the spool will move in response to the pressure differential between the pilot chambers.

  • Patent number: 5471826
Abstract: A pivoting moistener column for a cotton harvester having a locking feature which operates without tools which automatically releases the column for swinging toward an access position when a service door is opened and which retains the column securely in the operating position when the service door is closed. Preferably the locking feature includes a pair of mating upright flanges, one connected to the service door near a service door pivot and the other connected to the moistener column opposite a moistener column pivot. The column is located near an outer wall of the harvester row unit housing and is substantially outside of the housing when in the service position. A fluid distribution system mounted on the column is supported outside of the housing in both the operating and service positions. Panel structure on the column forms a relatively smooth, continuous barrier with the service door for good cotton/cotton plant flow past the column.
