Abstract: Resources at a communication device having its own memory device are managed. A cleanup request is received at the communication device over a bandwidth-limited connection. An available space on the memory device of the communication device at a first time is less than a predetermined amount. The first time is before the receiving of the cleanup request. Data stored at the memory device of the communication device is deleted based on the cleanup request. An available-space indicator is sent from the communication device at a second time. The second time is after the first time and after the deleting of the data.
Abstract: Software applications are provisioned at a communication device having its own memory device. A download request based on an application-related request is sent if application-related information associated with the application-related request is not stored on the memory device of the communication device. A portion of the application-related information is received based on the download request. The portion of the application-related information is stored when the portion of the application-related information is configured for storage.
Abstract: A system and method is described for communicating with a communication device. An uplink connection uniquely associated with the communication device and uniquely associated with an uplink-session identifier is established. The uplink connection is a wireless connection. A downlink connection uniquely associated with the communication device and uniquely associated with a downlink-session identifier is established. The downlink connection is a wireless connection. A message from the communication device is received over the uplink connection within a time period. A message is sent to the communication device over the downlink connection within the time period.
