Process for separating the diastereomers of RSS-and SSS-N- ? [1-carboxy-3-phenylpropyl] lysylproline
Patent number: 8119817Abstract: A process for separating the diastereomers of RSS— and SSS—N-?[1-carboxy-3-phenylpropyl]lysylproline is described. Previous chromatographic processes for separating the diastereomers of this peptide active substance, such as for example adsorption chromatography, exhibited disadvantages with regard to the solvents used and throughput. These disadvantages do not occur if basic ion exchangers are used in the chromatographic separation of the diastereomers. In particular, purely aqueous solutions may be used as the eluent.Type: GrantFiled: August 3, 1999Date of Patent: February 21, 2012Assignee: Degussa-Huels AGInventors: Frédéric Boisivon, Jean Debas, Gérard Richet -

Patent number: 6291698Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparing vinyl chlorosilanes, that includes thermally and non-catalytically reacting chlorosilane with vinyl chloride at a temperature of 550 to 700° C. by flowing the chlorosilane and vinyl chloride through a ring-gap space in a ring-gap reactor to produce a reaction gas; the ring-gap space having a cross-sectional area and a volume; and, after the flowing, further reacting, adiabatically, the reaction gas in a second zone to produce a hot reaction gas that contains vinylchiorosilane; wherein the second zone has a cross-sectional area that is greater than the cross-sectional area of the ring-gap space; and wherein the second zone has a volume that is in a ratio to the volume of the ring-gap space of 0.15:1 to 1.5:1. The invention also provides an apparatus for carrying out the above process.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2000Date of Patent: September 18, 2001Assignee: Degussa Huels AGInventors: Stefan Bade, Bernt Kesper, Robert Koell, Hartwig Rauleder, Uwe Schoen

Patent number: 6180837Abstract: The invention involves a procedure for the catalytic enantioselective reduction of ketones to chiral alcohols. Heretofore, this reaction was carried out batch-wise. Because, in this procedure, one utilizes a catalyst increased in size with polymer, it is possible to carry out the reaction in a quasi-continuous manner in a membrane reactor. In contrast to the state of the art, one thus dramatically increases the operative life of the catalyst.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 1999Date of Patent: January 30, 2001Assignees: Degussa-Huels AG, Forschungszentrum Julich GmbHInventors: Guido Giffels, Marcel Felder, Udo Kragl, Christian Wandrey, Andreas Bommarius, Carsten Bolm, Nadine Derrien, Karlheinz Drauz

Patent number: 6150490Abstract: The invention concerns biologically degradable polyesterS which are degraded under the action of micro-organisms in the natural environment. Said polyesters are high molecular weight satistical copolyesters which are made using an aliphatic polyalcohol, an aromatic polycarboxylic acid and also an aliphatic polycarboxylic acid as monomer components. They contain constitutional repeating or recurrent units comprising (i) a polyalcohol and an aromatic polycarboxylic acid and (ii) a polyalcohol and an aliphatic polycarboxylic acid, where over 90% of the units of type (i) are directly bonded with none or at most one other unit of type (i). The polyesters are produced by using a di-isocyanate as an additional monomer component, less isocyanate being used than any of the other monomer components. The present invention also concerns materials made from said biodegradable polyester and a process for producing said polyesters.Type: GrantFiled: August 14, 1998Date of Patent: November 21, 2000Assignee: Degussa-Huels AGInventors: Wolf-Dieter Deckwer, Rolf Joachim Muller, Uwe Witt, Hans-Jurgen Arning
