  • Patent number: 10767627
Abstract: Method for control of the torque performance of an electric pitch motor (1). A control system (2) comprises a first unit (3) controlling the pitch angle of the rotor blade, a second unit (7) which compares a reference speed Sr with an actual speed Sa of the motor (1) rotational speed. The second unit (7) controls the motor (1) rotational speed, a third unit (10) which regulates the motor (1). The control system (2) comprises a first overload device (13) and a second overload device (14). The second overload device (14) receives an error-speed signal Se, which is the difference between Sr and Sa recorded by the second unit (7). The second overload unit (14) compares See with a maximum allowable speed value, Smax, and the second overload device (14) sends a signal to the motor (1) for the regulation of the torque performance.

  • Patent number: 10620269
Abstract: Pitch system (1) comprising at least one pitch motor drive (3) connected an electrical network (5). Each pitch motor drive (3) is connected to a power bank, and the pitch system comprises a test module adapted to be activated in a test position. The test module comprises a brake module (8) each connected to a pitch motor drive (3), and each brake module (8) is adapted to load a pitch motor drive (3) with a certain load Rb. Hereby a voltage drop takes place over the power bank (6). The power bank (6) is separated into a number of power blocks (9) and the voltage drop ?V of each power block (9) is adapted to be registered by the test module when the brake module (8) is activated.

  • Patent number: 10521518
Abstract: Systems and methods of emulating power system operations. The Emulation system may include a software model of an engine driven electrical power generator, Emulation code to enable various testing of one or more power system components, and using real-world values, where applicable, to enhance the Emulation and test operation of the power system. An example method may include receiving a desired operating configuration of a proposed power system. The method may also include simulating operating data of at least one component of the power system. The method may also include emulating operations of the proposed power system using at least some actual operating data and the simulated operating data. The method may also include outputting emulated operational data for the proposed power system into an actual control and monitoring system to emulate operations of the proposed power system.

  • Patent number: 9446833
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and a method for control and reduction of the RPM of at least one main engine of a vessel, which main engine drives at least one first propeller for propulsion, which first propeller is pitch-regulated, which second thruster propeller is pitch-regulated. It is the object of the invention to reduce the RPM of one ore more main engines of a vessel and by increasing the pitch of the propellers to maintain constant propulsion, and by reducing the RPM of the main engines to re-duce the fuel consumption and in this way reduce pollution. The object can be fulfilled by a system analysing the RPM and pitch of the first main shaft propeller, which system analyses the RPM and the pitch of the second thruster propeller, which system based on said analyses performs downward regulation of the RPM of the main engine.
