Abstract: A signal filtering system and method that may be used in conjunction with a repeater or an input stage of a base-station. The system may include an analog to digital converter adapted to sample a received signal and to produce a data stream corresponding to the received signal in the time domain, a filtering block having one or more digital filter elements, wherein each of said one or more filter elements is adapted to filter one or more sets of frequency bands associated with one or more communication channel, and a controller adapted to configure said one or more digital filter elements based on parameters stored on a database and/or based on parameters received via a modem.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling an output power level of a radio frequency (RF) repeater (100 or 200). A system includes a receiver to receive a signal, a filtering unit configured to pass frequency components at or around a frequency band of a predetermined communication channel, an attenuator (124 or 142) to produce an attenuated signal by attenuating a parameter of the signal, a power amplifier (150) to adjust the output power level of repeater to a desired level by adjusting the gain of one or more components of the system, and a microprocessor (170) to receive an input responsive to the output power level of the repeater and, in response to the input, to transfer control signals to the receiver and the attenuator. The method includes sampling traffic load characteristics during operation of a network and adjusting a gain of one or more components of the repeater based on the traffic load characteristics.

Abstract: In order to retransmit a communication channel at a specific frequency, a receiver may receive a signal including the communication channel's specific frequency. An analog to digital converter may generate a digital signal correlated to the received signal and the digital signal may be passed through a digital filter configured to filter the digital signal and pass frequency components at or around the frequency of the communication channel's specific frequency. A digital to analog converter may generate an analog signal correlated to the filtered digital signal and a transmitter may transmit the analog signal.
