  • Patent number: 7022225
Abstract: An apparatus and system for mixing and separating ozonated water is provided. The apparatus is especially useful as a component of a system for cycling sanitizing ozonated water to a body of water such as a pool, spa or pond. The apparatus generally includes a separating vessel including a mixing tower, preferably located substantially entirely within the separating vessel and including a diffuser element for enhancing mixing of ozonated water without increasing turbulence in the separating vessel. Preferably, the apparatus includes a seal mechanism that substantially prevents liquid water from escaping the separating vessel with vented off-gas. The invention further provides an ozone destruct assembly including a condensate collection portion, and may also include a return line for passing a treated off-gas into the body of water.

  • Publication number: 20060027463
Abstract: Apparatus for sanitizing water generally includes a line for receiving a flow of water and an injector assembly for introducing an ozone containing gas into the flow of water to produce a first ozonated water having an increased oxygen concentration relative to the flow of water being passed to the injector assembly. The apparatus further includes an electrolytic device, for example, an electrolytic chlorinator cell, positioned to receive the first ozonated water from the injector assembly. The electrolytic device is effective to produce, from the first ozonated water, a second ozonated water including one or more biocidally effective substances other than oxygen gas. The second ozonated water includes biocidally effective substances, for example chlorine, hydroxyl radicals, and/or other effective oxidizing substances.

  • Publication number: 20050163678
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for therapeutic treatment of a body part for example, adult human feet, utilizing ozonated water. The apparatus includes a container holding a quantity of ozonated water and sized to contain a body part, for example at least one adult human foot. The apparatus further includes a cover secured to the container, an ozonated water generating system mounted to the container and an ozone destruction assembly for reducing undissolved ozone released from the ozontaed water in the container. The ozonated water generating system includes an ozone gas generator positioned to pass ozone gas into a stream of water being drawn into a water pump. Mixing of ozone gas and water flowing through the pump occurs in the water pump and this therapeutic ozonated water mixture is passed into the container.
