The firmware management operation includes providing an information handling system with a distributed BIOS, the distributed BIOS including a BIOS component and a BIOS variable; identifying a processor environment installed on an information handling system from a plurality of processor environments; selecting a particular BIOS component based upon the processor environment installed on the information handling system; generating a particular BIOS variable based upon the processor environment installed on the information handling system; and, loading the particular BIOS component and particular BIOS variable on the information handling system, the loading being seamless regardless of the processor environment installed on the information handling system.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided that may be implemented to automatically and dynamically assess or analyze displayed image characteristics of a video display screen together with a current human user's eye ergonomics when viewing a video display screen, and then to automatically and dynamically adjust (e.g., alter or modify) the image characteristics displayed by the video display screen to correct or improve the current user's eye ergonomics and reduce or eliminate human user eye strain.

Abstract: A method for efficiently sharing assets such as files and folders in the form of slices. Assets are shared or transferred between a host computer system and a target computer system such as a client computer system. In one or more embodiments, assets such as files and folders that are to be shared or transferred are placed in appropriate network slice queues by the hosts in such a manner that each slice has a size that is the same as the others within a predetermined tolerance. This ensures efficient use of network resources when sharing or transferring the files, while minimizing the amount of work the hosts and/or clients must perform.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate to methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable mediums storing instructions for placing an application in an external environment such as a cloud or edge environment, when it is rendered unavailable on a local environment such as a local host. The application's instance is moved after a connection test reveals that the application, related applications, and/or underlying physical computing devices hosting the applications and/or their data, do not respond to the test within an acceptable level of performance. By placing the application instances in an external environment, the application(s) can continue to provide an adequate level of service to one or more users until the application can be restored to its better function local host.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to methods and systems for predicting what files and/or folders will be skipped during a backup based on the file system's meta-data. Various embodiments of the invention may determine based on a file system's meta-data that specific files and/or folders will not be backed up in accordance with a backup's current rules or configuration. The aforementioned information can then be used to notify a user or administrator what files and/or folders will not be backed up and based on that notification, they may make changes to the backup's current rules or configuration. This advantageously provides the user or administrator knowledge of gaps in the protection provided by a backup and the ability to configure it to meet their needs.

Abstract: Techniques described herein relate to a method for composition for complex solutions. The method may include receiving, by a system control processor manager, a composition request to compose a composed information handling system, the request comprising a solution manifest file; parsing, by the system control processor manager, the solution manifest file to identify a solution requirement set; performing, using the solution requirement set, an analysis of a telemetry data map and a topology and connectivity graph; making a determination, based on the analysis, that the composition request may be satisfied using resources represented in the topology and connectivity graph; and composing the composed information handling system based on the determination.

Abstract: A portable information handling system display has an OLED film disposed over front and rear faces of a substrate, such as a carbon fiber material. A protective cover is disposed over the OLED film with a folded portion along an end of the substrate, the protective cover hardened at the front and rear faces and left unhardened along the folded portion. In one example embodiment, a transparent bezel is placed over the folded portion with the OLED film presenting system information through the bezel, such as battery state, etc.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, a method of transmitting data in an information handling system may include receiving, at a hardware logic device from a plurality of memory storage devices communicatively coupled to the hardware logic device, a plurality of command fetch requests; analyzing metadata associated with each of the plurality of command fetch requests in order to serialize the plurality of command fetch requests in a chronological order; and communicating the coalesced command fetch requests in the chronological order to a memory having stored thereon commands responsive to the coalesced command fetch requests.
