  • Patent number: 12225684
Abstract: A portable information handling system is assembled and disassembled by a keystone assembly that couples at an upper surface of the portable housing to overlap a keyboard assembly that covers processing components disposed in the portable housing. A motherboard couples to the portable housing under the keyboard assembly with openings aligned to insert over retaining nuts extending from the housing, the openings having a varied size so that the motherboard slides between released and engaged positions. A cooling fan couples to the motherboard adjacent to one side to retain the motherboard in the engaged position and is removed to allow the motherboard to slide to the released position.

  • Patent number: 12225320
Abstract: Plural cameras cooperate to define an overlap of fields of view that consolidate to provide an extended field of view communicated to an information handling system. The plural cameras stitch the non-overlapping portions into a consolidated visual image by reference to a landmark captured by both cameras in the overlapping portion, such as a reference marker placed in the extended field of view. The plural cameras coordinate through a wireless interface or with a daisy chain of communication cables to share the overlap boundary, resolution compatibility and an architecture for communicating the consolidated field of view with the information handling system.

  • Patent number: 12223395
Abstract: Cutting quantum circuits is disclosed. Solutions to a cutting problem of cutting a quantum circuit into quantum subcircuits are represented in a tree structure. Selected nodes are queried using a machine learning model to generate predicted transpilation metrics such as estimated transpilation error. If the prediction associated with a node fails such that the predicted transpilation error in a simulated quantum computing system is greater than an error threshold or constraint, the corresponding solutions represented by the node and the node's children are pruned from the tree structure.

  • Patent number: 12223514
Abstract: An information handling system includes a processor and a memory. The processor receives a set of validation items to be validated for each of a plurality of platforms of a portfolio of platforms. The processor further determines that a first set of validation items for a first platform includes a first validation item and that a second set of validation items for a second platform includes a second validation item. The processor compares the first validation item with the second validation item to determine if the first and second validation items are duplicate validation items. When the first and second validations are duplicate validation items, the processor maintains the first set of validation items to include the first validation item, and modifies the second set of validation items to exclude the second validation item.

  • Patent number: 12225018
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing capabilities of workspaces operating on an Information Handling System (IHS). A request is received from a user of the IHS for access to a protected resource. A security context and a productivity context are determined for operation of a primary workspace on the IHS. Two or more applications are identified for operation within the primary workspace, where the applications provide access to the protected resource, and where the applications include overlapping capabilities. Based on the security context and the productivity context for the primary workspace deployment, two or more of the applications with overlapping capabilities are selected for operation within the primary workspace.

  • Patent number: 12222900
Abstract: A system can maintain respective extended attributes for respective files in a file system, wherein the respective extended attributes comprise respective first-in-first-out (FIFO) queues of user identities that have been determined to have modified the respective files. The system can receive an indication to perform a delete operation on a first portion of the file system, wherein the indication is indicative of a first user identity for which files are to be preserved. The system can, in response to receiving the indication, evaluate the respective files, comprising in response to determining that the first user identity is omitted from a FIFO queue of the respective FIFO queues, delete a file of the respective files that corresponds to the FIFO queue; and in response to determining that the first user identity is identified in the FIFO queue, refrain from deleting the file.

  • Patent number: 12222816
Abstract: A backup system stores recipes during backup file creation when virtual synthetic backups are used, where a recipe comprises a specific sequence of steps used to generate the backup file. Replication logic of the backup system replays the recipe to generate the same backup file on the backup target so that an old backup combined with new backup data comprises the recipe. Embodiments of a server-side group fingerprint system include a process to auto-generate recipes for server resident files by formulating a file as a series of L1 fingerprints which are in turn a set of L0s and GFPs where some of the L1s are shared with other files. The recipe can be used to convert the representation of the file from a native fingerprint based representation into a virtual synthetic format.

  • Patent number: 12222811
Abstract: A self-healing Hard Disk Drive (HDD) system includes a chassis housing an HDD device self-healing subsystem coupled to an HDD data storage system that includes a plurality of HDD data storage resources. The HDD device self-healing subsystem prevents data from being stored on a first HDD data storage resource that is included in the plurality of HDD data storage resources included in the HDD data storage system. When the HDD device self-healing subsystem determines that data storage operations using a second HDD data storage resource that is included in the plurality of HDD data storage resources will be subsequently unavailable, it remaps logical addresses associated with the second HDD data storage resource to the first HDD data storage resource, and provides the data that was stored using the second HDD data storage resource on the first HDD data storage resource.
